I spotted a new Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless power tool combo kit, model 3698-24MT, and it’s at the heart of a new “buy this, get free tools” deal bundle.
You know what this means – the 2022 holiday shopping season has officially begun.
With this year’s promo, you buy the M18 Fuel 4-tool combo kit for $599, and choose TWO free tools or accessories.

AND, you can choose (2) free tools or accessories – such as an additional battery or premium charger.

Different retailers will usually have a different selection of free cordless power tools and accessories to choose from.
Early listings – with the promo already live but not quite in full swing yet – have some good freebie tool choices, such as Milwaukee’s M18 Fuel cordless router, Hackzall compact reciprocating saw, M18 Fuel blower, 5Ah battery, M18 Fuel jig saw, drywall screwgun, dual bay charger, M18 Fuel angle grinder, and more.
Price: $599 for the 4-tool combo + 2 FREE tool choices

If you’re saying “I don’t quite need all that,” there’s another deal – buy this Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless hammer drill and impact driver kit, and select 1 free tool or accessory.
The 3697-22 kit comes with the latest generation hammer drill and impact driver, a charger, tool box, and 2x 5Ah batteries.
The freebie tool selection looks to be much of the same, featuring a top-handle jig saw, additional 5Ah battery, cordless router, and more.
Price: $399 for the 2-too combo + 1 FREE tool
Deal Analysis
Yes, this seems like a great deal.
For historical context, last year’s deal was a starter kit ($199) or M18 Fuel hammer drill and impact driver combo kit ($399) with your choice of (1) free tool or accessory.
With this year’s deal, you get the latest-generation M18 Fuel hammer drill and impact driver – which just launched this past summer, plus a M18 Fuel brushless oscillating multi-tool, flashlight, and High Output batteries.
This combo kit – 3698-24MT – does not seem to have existed prior to the the 2022 holiday deals season.
For $200 on top of the $399 for the regular combo kit, you get the premium OMT, a flashlight, and (2) free tools.
One of the bundle options includes an M18 Fuel jig saw and angle grinder (via Home Depot). This seems like an excellent deal considering that the cordless jig saw and angle grinder are both valued at $199 each.
The single freebie deal is always a good deal – you get the regular $399 kit with your choice of free extra/bonus tool. $200 more for the other freebie gets you an M18 Fuel oscillating multi-tool (valued at $229 at the time of this posting), a bonus tool (valued up to $199), and a flashlight.
The 2-tool combo comes with 2x 5Ah batteries, the 4-tool combo comes with High Output 3Ah and 6Ah batteries.

I recently bought the m18 Fuel hammer drill, impact driver and (non-Fuel) circ saw w/ two 5AH batteries and charger for $349 at HD.
I find the drill and driver to be too heavy (at least w/ these big batteries). I’m seriously thinking of returning them and getting m12 Fuel versions.
Just waiting for m12 Fuel combo kit promos to be announced. Just gave all my old Dewalt tools to my daughters, and looking to start from scratch. Need multitool asap, and will pick up other tools based on need.

the m12 combo deal is the drill/impact kit for $199, get a “free” 2.5ah HO battery. no need to wait

You can also get the M18 FUEL drink driver in a non-hammer drill option. It appears to be about 3 lbs lighter. But to me, I’m used to the weight, so it doesn’t bother me, even with the 5 aH batteries. I use it on the jobsites constantly. I also use the FUEL OMT and the Framing Nailer. So many people say these two tools are heavy. But they beat lugging a hose or cord.

Not a bad deal if you need that tool package. I’ve never been really pleased with the M18 JIG SAW due to the bulk and weight. The angle grinders I abuse mercilessly. I’m waiting for price drops on the packout drawers.
Stuart
Sometimes the math works out even if you don’t need the whole kit.
For instance, a jig saw + angle grinder + oscillating multi-tool + the HO batteries might alone justify the price.

Buy more, save more on packout. Spend $299, save $90. Spend $199, save $50
