There’s also a deal on homedepot gift cards at kroger, check the kroger app for coupon plus add the 4x coupon for fuel points and make this deal better!

The M12 drain snake for 160 is a great deal,I got one last year, and it works very well.

I don’t see a Home Depot gift card deal on the Kroger app. There’s some for other deals and I see the 4X fuel points.

Wasn’t there a deal for the top of the line drill/driver combo for $399 that included 2 other bar tools that you could choose?
I’m on the fence if I wanna stick with Dewalt or switch to Milwaukee.. Ugh

Take a deep breath, think it over, and then come back to it later.
There will be more deals, you don’t need to make the decision today.
I’ve been trying to segregate Dewalt and Milwaukee tools for easier reference. Maybe you see something appealing there?

Thanks for the quick response! I’ve been following your site for years now. If you have a minute I could definitely use some advice!
I don’t use my tools for a business or anything like that. I just like to build things and tend to get involved in some projects here and there and I need some more tools but am also considering switching to Milwaukee. Here’s what I have currently..
-DCK483D2 kit from hope depot for $150 (Came with the DCF886 impact, DCD790 drill, and two 2Ah batteries. It was a huge step up from my bottom of the line older 18v tools and my brother gave me a free 5Ah battery)
-DCS391 circular saw (type 3) bare tool from Home Depot for $99 or $120
-Last year I also picked up the 20v brushless string trimmer for $99. It was a really good deal that I only found at one of my 3 local Home Depots. Came with a 5.0Ah battery
I’m always needing a sawzall or multi tool or something else and never ending up pulling the trigger because I don’t need them as often as the other stuff. I also always go back and forth about switching to Milwaukee, buying better Dewalt stuff, or just keeping what I have and getting more tools/batteries.
My impact works ok but at times I wish it had more power. I get by fine with the drill because I don’t need anything demanding from it often. The circular saw though.. I am just not impressed with the power compared to the positive reviews it gets. I was just using it the other day and even with a half full or full battery it seems to bog down VERY easily. If the blade gets pinched the slightest bit it completely stops it. Also it kills the batteries very quick..
Regardless of which route I’d go I’d be keeping my string trimmer with one 5AH battery. Works perfect for my small yard and only need one battery for it.
So long story short.. I am considering getting the Milwaukee M18 Fuel drill/driver combo (2804-20 and 2853-20) for $399 and then I would get the free sawzall and circular saw. I get confused with all the exact models but from my understanding this is their best impact and drill. I am not sure how good the sawzall and circular saw are though? Are they their lower end models?
Another option would be to get the Dewalt DCK483D2 kit. Then I have upgraded impact/drill and a 7-1/4 saw which I would hope to be equal to mine or slightly more powerful. I’d keep my 5AH batteries and just sell my 3 other tools
Or I just suck it up and get by with what I have and maybe buy another large battery and tools
Stuart
Right now, DCK483D2 looks out of stock a lot of places.
It’s a tough call. I only did a quick check of spec sheets, but DCF886 to DCF887 doesn’t give you a power upgrade.
Milwaukee’s impact will give you maybe a 10% bump-up in power. That might not be a good enough reason to switch systems.
Depending on what you’re fastening, stepping up to an impact wrench might be an interesting upgrade choice.
Both brands have more powerful circular saws.
It’s a tough decision. There will be plenty of holiday deals, and so you could always draw up two plans and see which one will be more economical.
If you stick with Dewalt, upgrading your circular and getting an impact wrench (if you’re working with larger fasteners than what a T25 of PH2 could drive) such as the DCF894 might be an idea.
Jonathan
Thanks! I’ve being thinking about it and I think I am going to stick with Dewalt. I just have two questions..
Is there a point in upgrading from my DCS391 circular saw to the DCS570? I know it’s a larger blade but is there a power difference?
Also I am confused about the Dewalt Multi Tool.. I see a post of yours talking about the newer DCS356 which replaces the DCS355… however the DCS355 appears to still be more expensive? What are the differences between the two?
Thanks for all your help!

just got back from HD, and they had the M12 fuel brushless kit for $179 without the extra 6AH battery.
