I love tool deals – they let me stretch a dollar and get what I need or want at lower pricing. I also love reporting on tool deals, because I know what it’s like to be on a tight tool and equipment budget.
The holiday season tends to numb me a little bit – I can only report on so many good deals in a ~4-6 week span before anything short of “wow that’s a GREAT bargain” sparks any excitement in me.
Some of these deals here are GREAT deals.

For example, the new Milwaukee M12 oscillating multi-tool is $149 for the bare tool or $219 for the 1-battery kit. The bare tool right now ships with a free battery via select dealers – Tool Nut has this and with free shipping.
With this Home Depot deal of the day, they have the new M12 Fuel oscillating multi-tool in two special bundles, one for $219 and the other for $239. The $219 bundle gives you a Bluetooth radio – yes the new one – and (2) 3Ah batteries for just $70 more than the bare tool. The $239 bundle gives you (2) 3Ah batteries and an M12 Fuel (brushless) Hackzall reciprocating saw for just $90 more than the bare tool M12 OMT.
If you already have an M12 battery charger, or M18/M12 multi-voltage charger, this is a fantastic deal!
And the sale is full of other such hot deals just like this one.

Deals on the Milwaukee M12 Fuel stubby impact wrenches and M12 Fuel brushless ratchets are still hard to come by, but here they are, in special money-saving bundles.
The 2557-20 ratchet, for instance, is $179 by itself. Here, it’s bundled with a battery for $149.
Home Depot has specials on M12 cordless plumbing tools on occasion, but here’s the rare deal that gives you bundle discounts on hand tools, namely their aluminum pipe wrenches.
If you’ve been meaning to buy into Milwaukee’s RedLithium USB personal lighting products, why not snag a bundle and get an extra rechargeable battery?
Does anyone need a… V18 Li-ion battery pack? I’d say that 2008 called, and said it’s time you considered upgrading your tools, but if you’re still using V18 tools in 2020, I have to ask – why? Maybe there’s a good reason.
Not all of these are HOT deals. A Milwaukee M18 3Ah battery for $85? Pass. I remember when they were 2 for $99. Now, you can buy a 2-pack of M18 High Output 3Ah batteries for $99.
Deals end at 3am ET 11/12/2020 unless supplies sell out sooner.
Did any of these deals make their way to your online shopping car?
Dear Newsletter Subscribers
As you might have noticed, you will sometimes receive a second email after the usual 11am ET distribution. This deal of the day post was published after the cut-off for that mailing, and so based on user requests, I enabled a manual push for posts like this one, so that it hits your email inbox same-day rather than tomorrow after the deal expires.
With the holiday season, there are bound to be more instances like this, where I learn and post about limited time deals of the day after the email cut-off. I strive to publish these types of emails before the 11am cut-off but it isn’t always possible.
If you are happy with the way things have been, great! And if not, please let me know – I could potentially move the email cut-off to later in the day, such as 2pm ET. The hesitation here is that some limited-quantity deals might sell out before that time. Thus, it seems a second email later in the day – when necessary – is the best compromise.
I am open to any suggestions or requests you might have!

I sprung for the 3/8 ratchet and impact wrench. I think the two 3 ah batteries should be returnable separately, which could knock the price down about $50 or so (battery 2 pack is currently 79 but they get pro rated when returned, blah blah). I’ll see how this shakes out. Great deal regardless, I just don’t need the batteries.
Aaron
I’ve been surprised by some of the online combos that ship as a single box/single sku.
It appears that home depot’s heavy weight status means that some of these seemingly random one off deals get their own custom packaging and exist as distinct combos. I assume that whenever it goes in the online cart as a single item I won’t be able to break it up for returns.

It seems like some people buy kits – then try to sell off the pieces on eBay. I guess whatever works for you is OK – but IMO it seems a bit convoluted.
Big Richard
If you are buying strictly to piece it out and sell it at a mark up, you are scalping. Which is pretty shady. In pretty much any other case, there’s nothing wrong with it. Often times the bundles are perhaps an odd combination, or come with batteries or a tool that you just don’t need. If it is a tool I’ve had my eye on, bundled with an impact driver that I already have multiple of, you better believe I’m going to sell that bonus impact driver. I sell it for whatever it was worth in the bundle, not MSRP.
I’ve done the same with chargers that come with kits for as long as I can remember. If I kept every charger that came with every kit I’ve bought, I would have possibly hundreds across perhaps dozens of platforms – current and obsolete – no joke.
Stuart
This has been the trend for deals of the day.

Aaron is correct. You are unable to return parts of a deal like this. When it is a single SKU, you cannot return one item that you don’t want/need and keep another strictly to get a discount on the the one item you wanted.
Some of their Black Friday deals that are “buy this battery kit get this bare tool free” are two separate SKUS, those you can return separately and keep one item at a discount.
James C
Bummer. I have some friends with M12. I think a 3 ah battery is worth at least a case of beer.
Big Richard
For sure, there’s always craigslist or other resale platforms. Should be able to get an easy $40 or $50 on the pair.
Tom D
Many of the deals in store are buy a SKU get a SKU free – not sure if all of them are. I know I’ve returned the 6ah m12 batteries in the past as I didn’t need more and it was a better deal than selling them.
NoahG
Went for the 3/8 FUEL ratchet. Had my eye on that for a while now.

Tear your wrist off if you’re not careful. Speaking from Some experience. ;-)~

ha! perfect.

Been wanting the M12 airsnake, missed many deals before, $50 off the kit with a free battery was good enough to pull the trigger. Who wouldn’t buy the M12 fuel OMT speaker and XC batteries, thats a great deal.
Brian Aeschlimann
Actually I think its $100 off the kit with the free battery, so more savings than they list. Its the 2572B-21 kit and a free 2.0.
Stuart
Here’s the link for reference.
I didn’t list everything out at usual due to time constraints. This deal is included in the special buy deal of the day, right above the pipe wrenches.
Tom D
The plumbing items often have rebates attached if you buy them from the right retailers. Often better than the sales at HD (or equivalent).
Russ
Ordered the M12 3/8″ Stubby Impact. Had my eye on it for a while. Previous promotions were either $20 off the typical $179 selling price or adding a free 2.0Ah battery. Both are in this deal.
