Over at Home Depot, they have quite a few tool deals of the day today, focused on Milwaukee and Dewalt brands.
As has been the case, many of the Milwaukee cordless power tool deals are special bundles, and the same is true for the Dewalt deals that are mixed in. Much of the time, this means you save money and get more for your investment, but the savings will vary depending on the bundle.
Deals end at 3am ET 6/9/2020, unless supplies sell out sooner. Several items have already sold out.
The Dewalt FlexVolt track saw looks to be a decent price (compare price via Amazon), and an extra battery is always nice. But, you’ll need to order a track separately to make the most of it.
There are plenty of Milwaukee M18 cordless power tool combo kits on sale, offering 4 or 6 tools and a bonus 2 tools.
The Dewalt 20V Max ATOMIC brushless impact driver bundle doesn’t seem like a very good deal, seeing as how you can get a full kit for $99 right now (compare deal via Acme Tools). Although, this bundle gives you a compact 4Ah battery and the kit gives you a low capacity 1.3Ah or 1.5Ah battery. I don’t see the appeal in buying an entry-level impact driver with a premium battery, but that’s just me.
A 4Ah battery 2-pack is $129 at Amazon. With the Atomic bundle, you’re losing the kit bag, charger, and 1.3Ah or 1.5Ah battery, and gaining the 4Ah battery for $40 more. If you buy a 2-pack, the cost per battery is $65 each. Seems like a “meh” deal no matter how I look at it. C’mon Dewalt and Home Depot, you can do better!
At the time of this posting, several Dewalt and Milwaukee deals had already sold out.
Milwaukee makes excellent hole saws, and these assortments are very nicely priced.
Time to stock up on some power tool accessories?
There are also some Milwaukee M18 battery deals, featuring their High Output Li-ion battery packs.
I haven’t had a chance to try Milwaukee’s M18 Fuel 12″ miter saw yet, but if it was on your wish list, good news – it’s on sale and bundled with a free 8.0Ah battery. The bare tool saw, 2739-20, is typically priced at $699 (compare price via Tool Nut).
Another Dewalt Atomic cordless power tool and battery bundle? Here too, I’d simply go with the Dewalt 20V Max Atomic cordless drill starter set (priced at $99 via Acme Tools), but that’s just me. If I wanted a more premium experience, I’d go with a main-like brushless drill/driver, rather than the entry-priced Atomic.
Now might be a good time to upgrade your cordless outdoor power tool gear – there are a couple of Milwaukee Quik-Lok combos on sale, some with a blower.
More tools are selling out, but they could have also started with low supplies.
There are some storage and work wear deals as well – nothing significant, but still worth a quick look.
Deals end at 3am ET 6/9/20, unless supplies sell out sooner.
