Milwaukee’s LED penlight-style flashlight is on sale again for the holidays.
The flashlight typically sells for $20 each and is currently in a “special buy” discounted 2-pack for $29.88 at Home Depot.

Here’s why you might want to buy one (or two in this case):

1) They are very well-built, tough, and durable.
2) 100 lumens is plenty for a penlight, and the TrueView illumination is a bit step up from cheaper flashlights.
3) Protective rubber bite zone.
4) IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating.
5) Convenient as an everyday carry LED penlight.

The 2-pack is a great value. Stick one in your pocket and the other in a tool bag, glove box, kitchen drawer, or similar.

If you can’t use two, gift one to a friend or family member.
Each is powered with 2x AAA batteries, which are included.
Price: $29.88
Thank you Brian for the heads-up!

Looking for something different? The Streamlight Stylus Pro is available in multiple color options and is another well-regarded EDC flashlight.

I really like the idea of a rubber bite zone! I carry a 1x AAA streamlight stylus at work everyday and use it constantly, often in my mouth. Not looking to replace the awesome streamlight, but if I needed to I’d look at this Milwaukee if they have a single battery version. The two battery is just too long for me crawling around in places, but looks like a really nice light.

They do make a smaller model, but it uses an integrated rechargeable battery. Very nice, but I can’t get past the built in obsolescence.
I have a couple of these Milwaukee penlights as backups, but the rubber bite zone tends to get grimy pretty quickly.

The rechargeable one isn’t much smaller – https://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-rechargeable-flashlight-laser-pointer-2010r/
Milwaukee doesn’t have a 1xAA or 1xAAA model.
Look at the Streamlight Microsteam (AAA), Olight i5T (AA), or Olight i3T (AAA). There are others, but those seem to be the most popular. I own one of each and can recommend them all. For the Olights, wait for the next flash sale – there’s nearly always one of these on sale.

Stuart, I was thinking of this one:

It’s bigger than the Microstream, but the specs are nice.

The headlamp is also on sale for $20 in the display. Either my home Depot already sold out or it was the only display there that was empty.

If it is a cardboard display, it is likely they sold out. typically once the holiday shipper is sold out & is a usually non-stocked product, it’s almost guaranteed they won’t get more.

Yeah if you’re looking for the deal better to move fast.

Looks great. I don’t use mine enough to buy it. I have a polysteel one from coastportland.com. But these are a deal for sure. I generally don’t like Milwaukee warmer colors on LEDS they use, but I like their build quality.

Ffs. Dammit Milwaukee.
On one hand this is clever, on the other hand… Just get a headlamp people, it’s better in literally every single way.
I have a Black Diamond model a few years old… USB chargeable, and it’ll take triple AAAs in a pinch.
The spotlight is like a car headlamp, I can boat around in the dark and light up the shoreline hundreds of feet away. The ‘wide’ allows me to work all day in dim environments. Red to go pee while camping without waking up my partner. All dimmable.
Fits in a pocket, hangs on a hook, cost me like $10 more than this, and I don’t have to bite on it like I’m getting my teeth x rayed at the dentist.
Tiny EDC flashlights are basically fidget toys for grown men, everyone already has a decently bright flashlight on the smartphone they carry every minute of their lives.

Forward clicky?

I have a Fenix E11, single AA Battery flashlight. I slide a short piece of vinyl tubing over the end to act as a bite zone. It’s worked really well for me for a number of years now. I do agree with the headlamp being the better option, but sometimes you can only carry so much stuff around.

On/off button is far too stiff. You have to practically change your grip to activate it. Had two that came free with the small AA Rover. Gave them both away.
