Milwaukee Tool launched a new M18 Fuel circular saw kit, model 2732-21HO.
This isn’t a new circular saw; it’s just a new and less expensive kit option.
The 2732 is an M18 Fuel brushless 7-1/4″ circular saw that’s advertised as delivering the cutting power of a 15A corded saw.

It features a 5800 RPM motor, electric brake for quickly stopping the blade, an all-magnesium guard and shoe, and a built-in rafter hook.
Previously, Milwaukee offered the 2732 M18 Fuel circular as a tool-only and as part of a kit, 2732-21HD, where it’s bundled with a 12Ah battery, Rapid charger (M18/M12), and tool bag.
This new kit, 2732-21HO, features the saw bundled with an XC 6Ah battery, standard M18/M12 charger, and a tool bag.
The HD kit is priced at $449, while the new HO kit is priced at $299 at the time of this posting.
To highlight the differences:
2732-21HD Kit: 12Ah battery, Rapid charger for $449
2732-21HO Kit (NEW): 6Ah battery, standard charger for $299

The 6Ah HO (High Output) battery is a 10-cell battery pack, while the 12Ah HD HO battery has 15 Li-ion cells.
Is this a holiday season “special buy” that escaped my attention until now, or a new addition to Milwaukee’s regular product catalog? Either way, it seemed newsworthy.
Price: $299

Currently my local Home Depot has it prices down to $229 so it’s a screaming deal being cheaper then the bare tool saw.

None of my stores had any in stock at all yet, st least not any I’ve seen yet.
Adam
It is going out of stock, as it came in with the holiday BOGO deals. It is down to $199 as of yesterday.

None in thw Atlanta market at all. It never made it here. Curious, where are you guys finding it at $199 and $229?

Off Topic: Toolnut has a very special price on the Packout cabinet.
John
I’d be all over this at $229 or $199.
My local HDs here in Maine list it as online only, for $299.

:waves hello:
HD Tool stock can be tough in ME. Ours has a small tool dept and I find disorganized.
Benji
For me, it is listed as online only for $299 via the app, but in store, in the front section where the holiday displays are, there are a bunch on clearance for $199…

More off topic. KC tool has a NWS 775 Pliers and Cutters Set, 3 Pieces as tool of the day. Only 25% off, but I’ve seen a lot of commenters like NWS. Interesting tether system.

I think that 6Ah or an 8Ah is better suited for this saw anyway. Glad to see more options!

I picked this up about 5 days ago, hell of a saw for a hell of a deal

Off-Topic: Northern Tool’s deal of the day (Thursday, Jan 5) is Milwaukee 100-Pc. Shockwave Impact Driver Bit Set — With Packout Organizer, Model# 48-32-4082 for half off, $49.99.

I saw a LOT of complaints about Northern Tool’s order fulfillment and customer service practices over the holiday season, most notably in regard to Milwaukee Tool orders they were cancelling without explanation. I asked them for their side of the story, and after 4 weeks I’m still waiting for an explanation.
The same 100pc Packout bit set is still $50 at most dealers, such as at Home Depot (link), just as it has been for weeks now.

Picked one of these up just before Christmas. Good saw. My only complaint: I’m left handed and the dust port fires its payload directly into my crotch. Can’t win ’em all, I guess.

My HD has the HO kit available for home shipping.
$299 is a good deal. It means you get the 6 Ah battery, charger and bag for $50 over the price of the bare tool.

Although the new price is great, the amount of money that all tool manufacturers make on Li batteries does not make any sence. Hence taking out 6Ah from the previous kit and replacing the charger allows a new offer at half the price. And BTW they are still making money.

Must be sold out, as the links aren’t working for me.
Stuart
Still works. If you have an ad blocker, that will break some external links.

I’ve been watching this one for a couple of months now hoping to find a small discount on it. Missed the boat over the summer season with this saw and the 6Ah bonus battery at $279 and coupons were to be had. From a practical standpoint I just don’t need another charger and I have tool bags out the wazoo, so I’m holding off on this HO kit unless there’s a price break. It’s a heck of a good saw, really holds its own with a decent battery but even with the smaller or non-HO batteries it does a great job. If I saw it at the $199 or $229 mentioned above I would have bought two before typing this post!

They gotta fix that right angle die grinder. Thing has a awful hsndle

Lmao there is no Milwaukee 7 1/4” saw with the ‘cutting power’ of a 15A corded tool- as far as cordless goes, they are some of the slowest on the market.
Any marketing claims of similar performance are based on the efficiency of proprietary thin-kerf blades, not actual power/electrical output.
JR Ramos
I don’t think it’s entirely apples to apples but “power/electrical output” has been shown in several models to beat corded power, that’s not new. Thin kerf – big deal, those have been around for 30 years, long before we had full size cordless saws. If you’re using your saw right thin kerf works and makes a lot of sense – does have its quirks and drawbacks at times, though, depending on the blade/brand.
Did you see the Concord Carpenter’s head to head with circ saws? Really well put together. Several saws with close to the same “performance”…..times in the testing. Milwaukee M18 Fuel came in second place with several others in heel, Dewalt leading by a significant amount. They tested the M18 with the crappy 5.0 battery, though (the lower voltage sag of the 6.0HO would have been a big improvement, or going with the 9 amp).
I despise marketing and Milwaukee has gotten just as bad as anyone else, sadly. But the saw? It’s great.

Our Local Home Depots have them on clearance for $199, pretty many in stock. Great deal!
