Over at Home Depot, they have this Milwaukee M12 Fuel oscillating multi-tool bare tool and bonus battery deal for just $119 shipped.
Yes, this is Milwaukee’s brand new M12 Fuel oscillating multi-tool.

Yes, this is the same tool that typically sells for $149 by itself.
Yes, it’s an awesome tool (in my testing experience thus far).
There are some more PRO special buy tools of the week. Thank you to MI Dad for the heads-up!

This is basically Home Depot’s “let’s wrap up the year and clear special buy tool deals off the warehouse shelves” promo. In other words, the pricing is aggressive and supplies are limited.

I realize the deal comes with a battery, does anyone else have any idea if it comes with any blades? Any comment from an owner that has this particular model? I am looking at replacing my old Rockwell Sonicrafter corded model. Thanks
Stuart
You get a single blade, a sanding attachment, and a couple of sheets of sandpaper.

Thank you for the reply!

Nice deal.
Keep hoping the Stubby Impact Wrench + packout bag + extra battery deal comes back, but worried most of the best deals are over.

Do you mean this? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-3-8-in-Ratchet-with-One-4-0-Ah-Battery-Charger-and-Bag-2457-20-48-59-2440B/314333823

Opps, wrong link, but also didnt have the deal…
Clay
This one.

Was $199.

These types of deals are usually limited and don’t return once deals of the day end or supplies run out.
Clay
Yeah, I figured I missed the boat on that one. I had planned to get another DeWalt battery starter kit and grab their impact wrench, but the stubby has more torque and is smaller, and since, as of this Christmas, I am pretty invested in the M12 platform now, seemed like a no brainer.
Oh well. A good deal on a bare tool would probably be better for me anyways. I can always use the bag and batteries, but I do not need them.
Anyone else hate 1.5 AH batteries? It is probably irrational, as they are not completely useless, but I am definitely not a fan.
tom
charger?
Stuart
Not included. You’ll need an M12 charger or M18/M12 multi-volt charger.

Snagged + Thanks!

Does this Milwaukee accept Starlock blades? Or just the open ended ones like Milwaukee makes?
Blythe
It will take a star lock blade, you just have to unthread the pin completely
OhioHead
Thank you Blythe, in your opinion who makes the best blades to use on these type of tool?
I missed out (early in tool sale season) w/ the in store promo, ordered via HD.com and won’t be in store till 1/5/21.
Blythe
I have never been disappointed by Bosch OMT blades, you just have to get them on sale because they’re pricy.
I got the Home Depot Black Friday Milwaukee blade set and first impression is that the wood blades are really fast, but don’t have much use on them yet
OhioHead
Thank you for your feedback!
Stuart
As Blythe says, you just have to completely loosen and remove the locking pin to use compatible full-ring blades.
Blythe
There have been so many good deals on the m12, but haven’t seen a single one on the m18 fuel. Sigh
Tom D
Best I’ve seen for that is the 10/20 off purchase of $x at some places.
Dave P
I hope the 12V Fuel one is better than the earlier non-fuel one. I got one for free (I don’t remember what the promotion was but maybe if you bought a combo kit they threw in the multi tool as a bare tool) and it’s worth precisely what I paid for it.
I bleed Milwaukee red but the earlier one is pretty lame compared to my corded Dremel.
Brad
Dang must have just missed this deal!
