Milwaukee 2695-27C M18 7-Tool Cordless Combo Kit

Jeremy wrote in with an early morning Home Depot deal tip. There’s a Milwaukee M18 7-tool cordless power tool combo kit, 2695-27CX, on sale for $359, today only.

Lurking electrical apprentice here. This online only deal for $359 looks good. Although I am waiting to buy a Fuel kit.

This set was $399 a few weeks ago, during Black Friday weekend.

Here’s what you get:

  • Drill/driver (525 in-lbs)
  • Right angle drill/driver
  • Impact driver (1/4″ hex) (1400 in-lbs)
  • 6-1/2″ circular saw
  • LED worklight
  • Hackzall compact reciprocating saw
  • Compact blower
  • Multi-voltage charger
  • (1) 1.5Ah battery, (1) 3.0Ah XC battery
  • Contractor bags

Contrary to what the description says, which still has not been corrected, you do not get an oscillating multi-tool, high-torque impact wrench, or a second contractor bag. Someone at Home Depot copied over all the specs from the 9-tool combo kit, but didn’t make the proper changes to reflect what you get in this 7-tool combo kit.

Should you buy it? I can’t answer that without knowing a lot more about everyone’s individual tool needs and wants, but I can tell you that this looks to be a good bargain for what you get.

An M18 Fuel brushless combo kit is going to cost a lot more money. It might be more economical to make due with these tools, and then upgrade individual tools later on if needed.

Dewalt Cross Line Laser. Bought this on Cyber Monday for the same price.

I originally bought the $40 Bosch HomeDepot has been selling. Used it for a project and the beam just was not all that great inside. Saw the Dewalt and decided to upgrade. The Dewalt is leaps and bounds ahead of the Bosch discount model. Returned the Bosch.

The Dewalt is 1.5x more, but worth every penny, plus the laser disto.
    Pros to the Dewalt:
    Hard Carry Case
Laser beam is over twice as bright
Laser beam is is more solid and easier to distinguish center
Separate buttons for horizontal and vertical
Shoots a laser further left to right when close to a wall
Magnetic mount built in (Strong enough to use over a painted drywall corner, I have even used it on the exposed hinge of a door)
    Better additional mount

Checked laser disto against my 4′ metal ruler and a tape, thing is dead on.

I grabbed this on Cyber Monday as well. I tested the laser because a few reviews stated it was inaccurate closer than 2′ or so. Mine was dead on everywhere I tested. 2″ to 25″ (the longest I could check against another measuring device I have).

      Cats love the thing, too.

Oops. Meant 2” to 25 feet not inches.
