Milwaukee M18 Fuel Impact Driver Kit and Packout Tool Box 2853-22PO with Foam Liner

Over at Home Depot, they just dropped the price on this Milwaukee M18 Fuel brushless impact driver and Packout tool box kit bundle, 2853-22PO.

This was a very good special buy at $199. At $179, reflecting ~10% price reduction, this is an even more compelling deal.

Here’s what it comes with:

  • M18 Fuel impact driver (2853-20)
    • Brushless motor
    • 2,000 in-lbs max torque
    • 4-mode Drive Control settings
  • (2) compact 3.0Ah High Output batteries
  • Multi-voltage charger
  • Packout tool box with fitted insert

If you want to use the Packout tool case for other purposes, you can replace the molded insert with a customizable foam insert (48-22-8451), or simply use it bare.

The bare tool typically sells for $139 by itself, and the 3Ah batteries are currently a 2 for $99 special buy. The Packout tool case, 48-22-8450, is typically $70.

If you substract $25 for the price of a replacement foam insert, that still puts the bundle value (in my opinion and by these calculations) at $283.

Long story short, this Milwaukee M18 Fuel impact driver kit and Packout tool box bundle was a good buy, and now it’s even better.

New Low Price: $179

I *love* purpose made hard cases for tools. Maybe its a reaction to all the bags that seem included in tools tool kits, but almost all the corded gear I still have is housed in a nice hard case. I’m not even in the Milwaukee 18V platform, but I’m tempted to get this 🙂 I wish Bosch and Makita would offer more of their tools with inserts for their hard case system (L-boxx for Bosch, not sure what the green lock together cases Makita has are called). Getting just the trays for the Bosch 12V line is like finding a unicorn.

Bosch gives their inlays part numbers like : 6035850503 for one of their jigsaws. Presumably you could buy a replacement if you could find it like this one on eBay:

They have shipped the knife alone at least once to me. I feel kinda bad about it.

I waited for a good cyber deal on this and nothing happened so i bought it from home depot last week. Saw the price drop and called. they understandably refunded me the diff. I initially bought this deal bc i wanted the batteries, but i couldnt pass up a new impact (and packout, finally part of the group! lol) for now 70 bucks! i think this is the best deal of the season

If MaxTool is selling it for $164 ($15 less than HD $179 price) you know that HD is still making good money refunding you the difference. Still nice that they did it.
