We’ve taken a good look at Home Depot’s Black Friday 2020 tool deals, and several previous years’ deals have returned, including this very popular Milwaukee M18 oscillating multi-tool kit.
Milwaukee has come out with a new M12 Fuel oscillating multi-tool, and a new M18 Fuel brushless multi-tool is also on the way.

But what if you want a good oscillating multi-tool on a budget?
With this deal, you get their brushed motor oscillating multi-tool in a special kit bundle, 2626-21CP, that includes a charger and 1.5Ah battery for just $99.
Here’s why this is a good deal: the bare tool is currently priced at $119. So, with this deal you save $20 and get a battery, charger, and tool bag.
Home Depot has it in stock at the moment, with free shipping.
No, this isn’t their latest and greatest brushless motor model, but it’s a solid performer with a great reputation. And, you can’t beat the value. For longer or more demanding use, you might want to wait for the M18 Fuel model. But for more casual use, this is an excellent bargain.

That is a good deal. Bought a new bare tool in 2019 and it was around $140 I think. The 1.5AH batteries are next to worthless but an extra battery on top of this price is really good… provided you don’t want the new brushless model next year
Stuart
1.5Ah is still a good start – perfectly fine for quick small jobs. There are always some battery deals this time of year if you need more runtime.
The M18 Fuel model is $229 for the bare tool, $329 for the 1-battery kit.

Yes indeed. My 1.5’s tend to collect dust more than anything but an extra battery regardless of it’s runtime is always a plus.

If you work in a garage or workshop, those little batteries aren’t a problem. You just keep one on the charger all the time. And they keep the tool nice and light. Depending on the job and the tool, they may run out in the middle of drilling a big hole in hardwood, for example, but it’s never happened to me. 🙂

The work good in the low demand tools like the jobsite radios for an afternoon of music. No they aren’t for demanding tools but I think they have a purpose and it’s nice you get one with this deal.

Another deal like this at Home Depot is the $99 Dewalt XR Chainsaw I’ve seen in multiple stores, it’s not advertised.

Dewalt’s Atomic brushless OMT is also on sale for the same price with 2.0 Ah battery and charger: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20-Volt-MAX-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Brushless-Oscillating-Tool-Kit-with-1-2-0Ah-Battery-Charger-DCS354D1/313593921
I’m sure everyone has their preferences of Yellow vs Red but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Not only does this tool use an old-fashioned, brushed motor but it’s also horrible! The vibration alone makes it bad but it’s ability to chew through batteries like it’s candy makes it useless. So, no matter how many batteries, especially a 1.5ah or charges they bundle it with, it should be avoided like a plague.
