Over at Home Depot, they have a new “Buy More, Save More” sale on Milwaukee Packout tool boxes and accessories.
Spend $199+ and save $50 at checkout, or spend $299+ and save $90. If you’re right at that $300 threshold, the savings come out to be 30%.
The deal ends on 12/27/22 (or while supplies last). There are some exclusions, but it looks like most of the Packout tool boxes are included, even the 2- and 3-drawer tool boxes. Some accessories, such as the rolling dolly base are also eligible for the savings.

3pc combos are NOT eligible for the deal, and it looks like tool bags are also excluded. Here’s the full list of eligible Packout products:
- Tool Boxes
- Organizers
- Drawers
- Accessories
- Totes and Crate
Thank you to everyone who wrote in about this promo!
Update: Acme Tools is offering the same promo. Thank you, Julian!

In this case, HD’s deal isn’t as good as Acme’s deal. Hd’s individual pricing on packout is basically msrp, whereas Acme pricing on individual items is less than the Hd price before the discount.
Frank D
But with HD, you can likely just drive up and buy it today. No shipping fee or possibly related issues.
Stuart
This one? https://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-tool-deals-102222/
That was a great deal (25% off select Packout), but it has since ended, and there’s no way to know if or when it will return.
HD’s promo is set to run through the end of December, and I would encourage anyone looking to buy more Packout to keep an eye on stock levels.
While not quite as good as a blanket 25% off, $50 off $199+ and $90 off $299+ are still great discounts. It’s a good fallback deal at the least.
I’ll keep an eye out for more promos.
Julian Tracy
Acme had (has?) the same $90 off $299 deal with free shipping. Placed an order just a few days ago. And their pricing is $5-20 off HD’s on each individual item to boot
Stuart
Thanks! I didn’t see it before, but I see it now.
Some of their SKUs were lower-priced, such as the XL tool box, but I’m not seeing notable differences now.
Acme’s promo is listed as ending 1/29/2023.
BrianA
But you can stack a 10% HD coupon on top.
Julian Tracy
I’ve heard folks speak of these HD 10% coupons, but I’ve never seen one myself
Jim Felt
They’re part of their Pro Extra promotions. But like everything else timings still a big part of that utility.
Chris S
I have their credit card because they drop a 10% off coupon in my mailbox “almost” every month, and sometimes 2-3 in a month. I use them to help with TN tax.
Bill
If there is a Menard’s in the same area you can get a matching 11% off.
Adam
No you can’t stack, as that would be two group discounts on the same transaction. Sometimes the military works with other promo’s, but the best the majority of shoppers are going to do is the $90 off $299
Chris S
It does work, I did it earlier today.
Adam
Good to know. That use to not be the case. It was one or the other. Could usually convince the cashier to just take 10% off the big ticket item, when one discount did negate the other.
Thanks
fred
Toolbarn (aka Souther Carlson) has a Packout deal. They sat $50 off on $199 and $90 off on $299. I don’t know what inncluded/excludes or how their starting prices compare to others:
https://www.toolbarn.com/
Julian Tracy
Toolbarn’s site has felt like a half-empty abandoned waste land for the last 3-4 years. Surprised to hear they are still in business
fred
They (and parent company Southern Carlson) were acquired by Kyocera in 2019
Dave
Huh, I ordered a dolly and 2-drawer case the other day at a $25 collective discount, it’s still on the way with ship-to-store. Wondering if when it comes in I can immediately ask for a refund and then buy it again with the $50 off…
Stuart
You should be able to.
You can also be prepared to do a return-rebuy, where you place a new order and return the original one.
Dave
Thanks, Stuart – I was thinking the first might be the option. It now seems the two-drawer chest is out of stock on all combos and single item options, plus the discounts aren’t showing up even if I add a three-drawer and a dolly to my cart. Is there a coupon code to use I’m missing?
The goal: a 2-drawer, 3-drawer, and a dolly to replace a couple of large boxes with organizers stacked on top that always end up with fasteners flying everywhere when one of my assistants doesn’t check the latches before trying to borrow a tool…if these three were available either online ship-to-store or in person with the $90 discount, I’d love to buy them.
Stuart
With Home Depot, the discount is automatically applied to your order in-cart. You’ll see the “buy more save more” discount applied to your total.
You can test this by adding multiple of either item to your cart. I added the 3-drawer tool box and dolly, and the discount *does* appear in my cart.
The 3-drawer is in stock. The 2-drawer looks to be in-store only.
The dolly is “scheduled delivery” only online, with no online stock and limited in-store availability.
As we’re in the pre-Black Friday shopping season, inventories are all over the place, sometimes because Home Depot is waiting for more, other times because there’s a hold in order to ensure there’s stock for Thanksgiving weekend, or because the online inventory might not closely-enough follow in-store inventory.
Chris S
You can always call or use the online chat option. They are always willing to make price adjustments and can even alter your order to add the other stuff in.

Just got my 2 pack of 3 drawer packouts. I’ll probably buy another set before the sale runs out. More organization is always needed.
fred
ToolNut sent out an email today – they have a Packout sale – akin to ther one I posted about fgor ToolBarn
Ruslan C.
2-drawer plus 3-drawer after taxes cost $239 @homedepot and $237 @toolnut. Still a good price I think for such a quality boxes.
Frank D
Ordered the drawer set from HD, to add drawers to the bottom of my most used mobile tools for direct access with less / without unstacking.
Daniel
They are scammers. 3 years ago I made a purchase for about $ 300, so far I got nothing and the contact was cut off. They only switch sides and continue to cheat people !!!!
Stuart
Home Depot??!!
Or did you fall for a scam site that was pretending to be Home Depot?
Andy
I just ordered a 2 and 3 drawer… not a combo
wend to order again and the 2 drawer cant be ordered again
shopped jantzen beach store to be delivered to woodland, wa.
ordered 2 more 3 drawer and all went well.\
got the 90 discount on both orders… happy here…. just need to wait for more stock on the 2 drawer i guess
Frank D
Just received my first 3 drawer ( 2 is delayed ). My excitement dropped, the seconds I opened the second and third drawer … no dividers?
It really only includes dividers for one drawer? and not a set for all three drawers? It is not disclosed on the site. Mentions a set of dividers. Can’t a user expect a set of dividers to mean: 1 for 1 drawer, 2 for 2 drawers, 3 for 3 drawers?
Just some fine print on the label on the unit, additional dividers extra. $10 per drawer + shipping … Or spend the time to go the 3D route. Or hack some other dividers.
What’s next, Packouts with half the cups?
Seriously not impressed they skimped on the dividers and charge extra.
Stuart
Some people don’t need or want any dividers, so why should everyone have to pay more?
One set of dividers seems like a fair compromise.
The practice is acceptable to me, but it seems maybe the product descriptions could be clearer to help manage expectations, e.g. “includes 1 set of dividers, extra sold separately” instead of just “includes 1 set of dividers.”
Once in-hand, it becomes clear that “1 set of dividers” means 1 drawer’s worth of dividers.
You joke about Packout organizers half-filled with cups. But a lot of people buy organizers filled with cordless power tool kits or accessory sets, and complain that it didn’t come with organizer cups. How do you have hole saws and organizer cups? You can buy the organizer cups separately. Then there’s a screwdriver bit and Packout organizer bundle, and people complain that it comes with the usual complement of organizer cups but no customized organization for the screwdriver bits.
Frank D
I understand not everybody may need three divider sets, but I’m pretty sure a lot of people do or expect it.
When you buy other parts holders, pick a size, brand, model … somehow dividers are included for every slot partition.
It just seems too much penny pinching for a premium product. What does it cost Milwaukee? Can’t afford to include a $3 bulk set for all three drawers, if it were a $1 bulk set for 1 drawer? It may not even cost them that much.
Stuart
These aren’t organizers, they’re tool drawer tool boxes. Most tool boxes, chests, and cabinets with drawers don’t come with organizers at all.
Penny pinching? If you would have to spend $20 more per box, or $20 more for separate dividers, there’s no difference to you, but there sure will be differences to others who will complain about the even higher price.
Some people make their own organizers with plywood or hardboard.
When a brand skips out on including a belt clip with a drill/driver, that’s penny-pinching since this type of accessory is very difficult to buy separately.
I use my Packout drawers differently, sometimes for smaller tools, other times for battery packs. I wish I had maybe one more set of dividers, but I don’t feel strongly enough yet to do something about it.
When you buy a camera bag, it comes with more dividers than you need, because that’s something you can’t buy separately.
For industrial products, such as Akro-Mils benchtop organizers, you get a divider packet, but usually not enough. If you need more, you buy more.
I’m not saying you’re wrong to be disappointed – I too would be if I had expected a set of drawers to include 3 of what Milwaukee considers a “set.”
Can you easily buy more separately? Yes.
If more dividers were included, resulting in a higher cost-per-tool box, could users who don’t care for extra dividers find a way to spend less per box? No.
How many times do ToolGuyd readers complain about the number of holiday season “special buys” that include more cordless drills they don’t need or want? This is almost the same in spirit.
Joe
Stuart,
Home Depot has the rolling 22” Milwaukee packout on sale for $139. If you spend $270 on Packout accessories, they will take an additional $50 off.
This clearly beats Amazon right now.
Stuart
Thanks! HD Link.
That’s a decent deal, if it’s what you want.
Amazon isn’t an authorized Milwaukee dealer, and hasn’t been for a long time now. Almost every Milwaukee product on Amazon is sold by 3rd party sellers, with many sourcing their products from Home Depot’s sales and promotions.
