Black Friday 2019 has come early for anyone looking to buy a Milwaukee Packout tool box combo set.
Over at Acme Tools, they have a Packout combo set on sale for $200, plus $30 special handling charge (presumably to offset shipping fees).
This Milwaukee Packout tool box promo comes with a rolling tool box, large tool box with top and front handles, and a foam insert tool box that can be fitted to protect cordless power tools, hand tools, or other tools and equipment.
I have seen Black Friday specials arriving in stock at the local home center – you know which one. They’re currently priced at $279 there but will likely drop to $199 or $200 as well. However, what sets this Acme Tools bundle apart is that its small tool box has a foam insert, and the other typical promotional combo does not.
If that foam insert box is worth it to you, and you don’t think you’ll be able to snag a promo stack locally (they have historically sold out fast at a lot of store locations), this promo might be a great buy.
Price: $200 plus $30 special handling due to the size and weight
Update: We’ve found better pricing, see below!
Acme Tools also has a 12% Milwaukee tool promo going on until 11/4/2019, with code RED12. That discount works on other Packout gear, but not on this promo bundle.
WAIT – Tool Nut Has it Cheaper!
I checked Tool Nut to see what their pricing might be, and they are offering this Packout tool box combo AND the more traditional Packout combo, also at $200 each. BUT, they aren’t charging any special shipping or freight fees.
So… unless or until Acme Tools matches Tool Nut’s free shipping on these Packout tool box combos, Tool Nut will save you an extra $30, or at least not cost you that extra amount for special shipping/handling fees.
Which Packout combo bundle to choose?
Well, that depends – do you want your small tool box to have a customizable foam insert, or not? The “standard” Packout tool box has a slightly smaller internal volume, giving up the space for the standard Packout roll-cage-like pull handles. So the choice is between a little extra impact protection (I guess?) and pull handles (or at least that’s what I use them for most), or a foam insert that can be cut and customized to fit your tools.
