Two regulars expressed their disappointment about the short entry periods I gave to most of this week’s giveaways.
My goal was to get the giveaways up, open, closed, and fulfilled as quick as possible, so that I can move to the next batch of tools to sort through.
Since the posts all missed the 11am auto-email cut-off time, I scheduled the end date for 11:59pm ET the next day, hoping to give email subscribers a shot at the giveaway. I closed those posts to new comments at 12:15am.
But, at least 2 regular readers and commenters missed the giveaways. Thinking about it, I’m sure they’re not the only ones.
Update: This new giveaway is for people who missed their chance at entering the other giveaways because of the short entry period. This giveaway is not intended for those that chose not to enter the previous giveaways, because the prizes will be as close to those as possible! Don’t worry, there will be more giveaways and other opportunities to come.
Sorry, I thought that ~34-35 hours was more than enough for a quick giveaway. I did also give advance notice that giveaways were coming. I didn’t know that there would be 6 giveaways at once, though.
That first giveaway is still open, but I think I prefer shorter giveaway entry times for test sample giveaways like these.
SO… You snooze, you lose!? Nope, not today at least.
Okay, let me see what I can do, I’ll run something up to the big boss.
*1 microsecond later* Good news! They said that I can run a “second chance” giveaway.
Here’s the deal: If you did NOT have a chance to enter any of the previous giveaways, you can enter this one. But there’s a catch – I haven’t decided what the prize will be, or how many winners there will be. I have some ideas, but nothing has been finalized yet.
The Prize: Something tool-related. Maybe it’ll be a surprise, or maybe I’ll give you options. Sorry, it might not be quite as good as the prize packages in giveaways 2 thru 7.
I’m aiming for the prizes to be nearly almost as good as the other giveaway bundles that you might have missed out on. In other words, they won’t be better, so as to not disappoint anyone who did enter those giveaways.
How to Enter: Tell me about your favorite tool. If you don’t have one, how about a Haiku about the tool you last used.
Do you have a preferred brand of cordless power tool?
Who Can Enter: Any not-new reader, commenter, or newsletter subscriber who did not have a chance to enter “ToolGuyd cleanup” giveaways 2 thru 7 before they closed.
Newsletter Subscribers: Enter with the same email address that you are subscribed with.
Previous Commenters: Enter with the same email address that you previously commented using.
Non-Subscribers and Non-Previous Commenters: I can try to check your prior visit(s), but it’s not guaranteed unless your IP address matches. If you’ve ever interacted with me via email, Twitter, Facebook, or elsewhere, that also qualifies you.
One entry per person.
Who Should Not Enter: Please do not enter if you entered any one of the previous “ToolGuyd cleanup” giveaways (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7). If you do, you will void all entries.
Update: It’s been brought to my attention that this means winner selection for the other giveaways will have to be put off until this one closes.
Why? Because there are still tools to give away!
Winner Selection: At least 1 winner will be selected at random.
Prize Fulfillment: The tools will ship out via USPS. If absolutely necessary, I can ship via UPS instead.
Rules: Entry period ends at 11:59pm ET 1/18/2018.
Fill this out:
If you already filled out the address form when entering another ToolGuyd “Cleanup Giveaway,” there’s no need to do it again.
The address and shipping information entered into the form will only be used for the purpose of this and other “ToolGuyd Cleanup” giveaways.
Questions should be added within your single entry comment, or you can ask them here: Gearing up for some giveaways.
