MK Diamond 145 Wet Tile Saw

MK Diamond’s MK-145 wet tile saw is a 4 amp 1/2 HP table top unit that is well suited for smaller tiling jobs. It is compact, lightweight, portable, and is inexpensively priced at about $99.

The small saw works with a 4-1/2″ diamond blade (included) and can be set to make straight cuts, as well as 22° and 45° miter cuts. With its large cutting surface the saw can handle tiles as large as 12″ wide and 1″ thick. You can use it on ceramic, marble, or stone materials.

A Safeswitch locking key prevents the saw from being operated upon its removal, and a small compartment allows for onboard power cord storage.

If you have a larger budget, something like the MK-170 overhead 7″ tile saw might be a better option, as it should provide better control and has a larger cut capacity, but it’s not quite as compact and easy to store away. There are a lot of other wet tile saws in the $100 and $200 price ranges.

For larger one-time tiling projects, renting a professional tile saw is another option, but if you go that route you will probably have to buy a fresh diamond blade.
