An updated version of the widely-popular Narex bevel edge chisels is now available at Lee Valley. The new chisels feature a narrower profile that offers better performance and clearance in angled or tight corners. They feature robust stained beech handles and are available in sets of 4, 7, and 10-piece sets.
These chisels feature blades seemingly identical to those in the new premium chisels at Highland Woodworking, but trade the hornbeam handles for more economical beech ones. Another major distinguishing feature of the Lee Valley-exclusive version is that the chisels are available in imperial sizes, not metric.

A number of good tools are now coming out o the Czech Republic. I think that’s the COO for these – and while I have not tried them – I have tried some of the Wera tools that also originate there. From the picture – they might have you believe that you need a whole array of sizes to clean up hand-made dovetails – when in fact one or 2 chisels will likely meet most needs

I’m sure the dovetailed joint is just there as a prop.
I splurged for the 10-piece set. While I feel the 7-piece set is the best buy, I could really have used larger chisels a handful of times in the past few months.
And yes, these are made in the Czech Republic. The previous version required only slight honing before use, and so I expect these to be just as good.
