If you want to order something that’s not on sale, here’s information on our coupon code.

Free Multi-Tool Offer

Free Shipping on $49 Orders

I figured it’s worth a reminder.

My order (paid for at retail/flash sale pricing) from the last flash sale came in last week. Meanwhile, I ordered some tape from a local company and they charged me $26 to ship a 3 lb box. Go figure.

A Note About This Olight Flash Sale

This is a new limited edition sale. I haven’t been tracking Olight’s limited edition LED flashlights for very long, but it doesn’t look like the color schemes repeat themselves.

If you find any of the on-sale color schemes appealing, these limited editions will be discounted to well below the regular retail pricing of their plain Jane versions. In other words, you get a limited edition color AND special pricing. If something doesn’t strike your fancy, you can always wait for the next flash sale.

Olight M2R Pro Warrior Patriotic Edition Bundle

Olight Flashlight Flash Sale 7-20-20 M2R Pro Warrior Red White Blue

First up, the M2R Pro Warrior with patriotic American Flag color scheme will be on sale for $84.

Olight sent over an S1R Baton II with a similar color scheme, and it’s simply beautiful.

Olight Flashlight Flash Sale 7-20-20 M2R Pro Warrior Patriotic Edition

The M2R Pro Warrior is a bright (1800 lumen max) flashlight with magnetic base, and it’s powered by a 21700-sized 5000 mAh Li-ion battery.

There will also be a M2R Pro Warrior and i5T OD green flashlight bundle, priced at $91.74. The i5T flashlight will be on sale separately for just under $25, and so with this bundle deal you get both lights for only ~$8 more than just the M2R Pro Warrior.

Olight Seeker 2 Pro Mint Green Flash Sale

Olight Flashlight Flash Sale 7-20-20 Seeker 2 Pro Mint Green

I’ve been meaning to try out the Olight Seeker 2 Pro EDC LED flashlight, and as chance would have it, they sent one over to give me a first-glimpse of this flash sale.

I love the color so far, and find it to be different enough to stand out on a cluttered workbench or shelf, but without being obnoxious.

The Olight Seeker 2 Pro is bright, with 3200 max lumen output, but it’s also practical. It features multiple brightness settings and comes with a holster, charger, and charging dock.

Olight Flashlight Flash Sale 7-20-20 Seeker 2 Pro Mint Green Angled

I have only started testing the flashlight, but so far I’m impressed with its quality, the quality of the accessories it comes with, and its user interface. I hope to test it further in the next couple of days – please let me know what questions you might have.

Olight Flashlight Flash Sale 7-20-20 Seeker 2 Pro Mint Green Hero

The Seeker 2 Pro in mint green will be available separately for $104.97, or bundled with an OD green i5T EOS for $109.74.

Olight Flashlight Flash Sale 7-20-20 Seeker 2 Pro Mint Green Charging Dock

This flashlight is also powered by a 21700 5000 mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery. You don’t have to use it with the dock – the magnetic charger can be used with just the flashlight if you wish.

The OD green i5T EOS, a 1x AA 300 lumen max flashlight, will be on sale for $24.71.

Olight Flash Sale 7-20-20 i5T EOS OD Green Flashlight

The Olight i5T EOS looks a little brighter in the product images than olive drab green, not that I’m complaining, as the color looks more earthy and less tactical in my opinion.

    Hey Stuart,

    Thanks for the recommendation.

I got a bundle on the last sale, and got the free i5T they were offering at the time.

I would never have purchased this light, but it has become my new EDC.

It fits the penlight role that I’ve long preferred, without being so long that I can’t keep it in my front right pocket with my keys.

I just got my Olight PL Mini 2 in the mail this week. It’s a compact mountable light , 600 lumens and comes with a magnetic charger. Phenomenal light. It’s not on sale but just wanted to give a shout-out to Olight. They make good quality products.

You have a fascination with flashlights and pocket knives. I find headlamps much more useful unless you enjoy doing everything one handed or drooling with a flashlight in the mouth for too long. My phone serves as an easy always-with-me flashlight in a pinch the few times it’s needed. Otherwise I just leave a free Harbor Freight flashlight in a few spots, back of truck, garden shed etc, and those rarely get used. I have loads of battery pack work lights, Bosch, Hitachi and others for actual work needs.

My father has an odd fascination with clocks. Now in his 80s, he continues to build digital clocks of his own designs, and sundials, more sundials of all varieties than entire civilizations require. Everyone has their thing I guess.

Regardless of my “fascination” with flashlights, the last post about Olight’s previous flash sale had above-average interest from readers, and there were some comments and emails summed up as “darn I missed the deal, when is the next one?”.

And, with an affiliate relationship with Olight, I can see how many readers took advantage of the sale.

Yep, I have an interest in flashlights and pocket knives, and that factors into what I say or what seems more important to me about the promo selection. But it’s readers proven interest and actions that are driving the post, with my interest in the topic taking you on the scenic route rather than the boring highway.

I’m not quite sure what you mean – I have:

      Perun
      S1R Baton II
      S2R Baton II
      Seeker 2 Pro

They all have the same charger, except the Seeker 2 Pro which has a longer cable.

Olight also has a double-ended magnetic charger, but for traditional batteries and NOT the special ones that are for in-battery charging with their one-sided magnetic charger.

Not sure about all Olights, but I’ve got a S2R Baton II and it uses a “protected” (read proprietary) 18500 cell, so a regular old flat top 18500 cell won’t work. I could be wrong, but I think, if you need a replacement cell, you’re stuck buying it from Olight…

      Yes and no.

A lot of their lights take Olight’s “customized” batteries, but such batteries appear to be widely available.

If you want magnetic in-tool charging, it’s a huge convenience. If you want the ability to use other brands’ batteries, you need to look at other models.

I bought the S2R Baton thinking all 18500 cells were interchangeable and that I could use my drawer full of 18500 cells salvaged from old laptop battery packs.

Boy, was I wrong. My fault. Lesson learned.

Same thing with a Lumintop Tool AA 2.0.

Yes, it will operate with a AA cell, but at a vastly reduced output.

To realize the light’s full 650 lumen potential, you need to buy a protected 14500 Li-on cell. A two pack of high capacity 14500 cells added another $20 to the purchase price.

Ooops meant 18650 cells (not 18500).

          Jul 21, 2020

“Customized” and protected are two different things.

These batteries are protected and customized where you have positive and negative on the same side for in-flashlight magnetic battery charging.

Lights that take protected cells can often accept a range of batteries from different brands, but not unprotected flat-top cells.

I have a couple Olights (including a gun-mount light that’s only 98% reliable), but I’m not doing China stuff anymore.

Have any good US flashlight options?

      Yes.

      What’s your budget like?

If you want something more sophisticated than a Maglite, prepare to spend a LOT.

I ordered a selection of imported lights for review, and also USA-made. Unsurprisingly, there aren’t a lot of options.

Late last night, or was that actually this morning, I purchased the Olight Seeker 2 Pro bundle, which included the little i5T EOS light. I’m looking forward to the magnetic charging, but looking at the specs I’m not sure what the charging rate will be or exactly what’s included. Most of the lights, including this one, seem to only ship with a cable sans a transformer/brick. The cable is listed as: MCC1AL Magnetic Charging Cable. I tried looking at the Accessories and Batteries tabs to drill down on more specs, but both links responded with the following statement: “We can’t find products matching the sproduct-itemselection”. When I opened a chat session with Olight, I was told that when they have a Flash Sale these links are disabled so they can concentrate on shipping. While it might makes sense to limit purchase options during these events, why would you want to close a portion of your website for viewing and information purposes?
Does anyone have more insight to things like charging times and what the max charging rate (amps & volts) this light will take?

I believe the magnetic chargers are fixed at 1A max.

After a little digging I found that they have a “third generation cable”, the MCC3 which is good up to 2 amps charging. But you are right, my order comes with the older and much slower 1 amp cable. It should be fun waiting for a 1 amp charging rate on a 21700 5000mAh battery.
