Deal Price: $46.47 for black, $49.97 for orange
Free shipping, as of the time of this posting, is on orders over $48.97.
Remember, these sales go into effect at 8pm ET 6/21/20, and will be valid for 28 hours, unless supplies sell out sooner.
The “special edition” orange might sell out faster than the black.
There will also be deal pricing on Olight’s popular S2R II Baton II LED flashlight. This is similar to the Olight S1R II we recently reviewed, but is slightly brighter and powered by a larger 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery.
The S2R II Baton will be discounted to $52.47, and you can choose between purple or desert tan anodizing colors.
A gunmetal grey version of the Olight i5T EOS will also be on sale, for $24.71. This is a 300 lumen max EDC flashlight powered by AA-sized batteries.
Lastly, there is a new Odin LED weapon light, and it will also be on sale as part of Olight’s Father’s Day 2020 flash sale.
Spend a couple of dollars more, and you also get a bundled i5T EOS in gunmetal grey.
Additionally, if you visit their page and click a “share” button, you’ll get a FREE keychain multi-tool. I clicked the “email” button, and the Olight website said the following:
You have successfully shared the free keychain tool info with your friends! It will appear in your cart at 8:00 pm 06/21 – 6/24 Midnight EDT automatically once you login.
Freebie Tiers
On top of all that, there are FREEBIE tiers.
- Spend $119+ and get a FREE i5T EOS desert tan (similar)
- Spend $219+ and get a FREE H1R headlamp (similar)
- Spend $318+ and get a FREE Seeker 2 flashlight
In the last flash sale, the freebie items were automatically added to the cart.
Here’s the flash sale page again, so you can familiarize yourself with the options before it goes live.
VIP customers will have access to the sale starting June 19th, and it opens to the public at 8pm ET 6/21 for a 28 hour span.
And finally, let’s say you’re interested in something that’s not featured in this flash sale. Well, then maybe our 10% coupon code will help out with that. Coupon code is TOOLGUYD10 and is not valid on sale items or the X9R Marauder.
Any questions? I have a Perun Mini and an i5T EOS review samples, and hope to get a good feel for them before the flash sale goes live.

Oh no. I don’t need any more flashlights… but I have a special soft-spot for right-angle lights. My favorite configuration by far.

‘Flash’ sale.
Hilarious.

How is the Perun better than the already exists H1R?
They are basically the exact same body, though the clip attachment varies a little.
The Perun at first glance seems more impressive with its 1k Lumen rating – but that’s a spec sheet marketing ploy only – it will only last 60 seconds…
The H1R will do 600 Lumen for 3 mins, and then they both step down to basically the same levels.
Then the specs get wonky between the two – at their lowest modes – the H1R appears to run much longer, while the in-between modes the Perun appears to run longer…
I have an H1R and I think its great. I have other Olights – I like them all.

I looked at the clip attachments more – I think that the H1R design is better, in that you can rotate the light through a full 360 while its attached – the Perun is fixed in only 1 direction …
I’m sticking with my H1R for now – but, maybe one of the other sale items will separate me from some of my cash…

From what I can tell, the Perun Mini shares some of the Baton design elements. It’s brighter and has a dual clip.
Yes, that peak brightness is fleeting, but it matters to some.
The H1R looks to have a better/nicer headlamp strap design.
The Perun Mini’s Velcro-backed mount can allow for added hands-free versatility. Slap some hook-and-loop somewhere, and you can mount the light.
Perun Mini comes with a “customized 550mAh 3.7V IMR16340 Rechargeable Lithium Battery,” and the H1R with a “Olight RCR123A 650mAh.”
Both flashlights have magnetic chargers. It *seems* that the H1R might have a different charging design, as the battery doesn’t look to have the same customized top as the IMR16340.
It seems to me that the Perun Mini and H1R will be sold alongside each other, with one perhaps offering a less goofy-looking headlamp experience and the other offering additional mounting flexibility.
The Velcro “duty patch” can be attached to clothing, backpacks, or hats with compatible hoop-style Velcro panels.

The H1R charges in their ubiquitous magnetic charger – but my older S1 Baton uses the older design and I can’t interchange the two chargers/lights. I think that all of the currently offered lights, within the same diameter can interchangeably use the same magnetic charger. But say – the Warrior Pro needs a different charger than the Warrior – b/c they different diameters (2170 vs. 1865).
Just pick up your own hook-and-loop to do what the “mount” does, no?
The lower current price is nice. The differences between the two seem very small – I’m sure the new Perun Mini will be great for whoever picks one up.

The problem with Olights (at least with the S2R Baton II) is that it takes a “customized” (read proprietary) 18650 battery. Your collection of flat top 18650 cells won’t work in the S2R Baton II.

Otherwise, it’s a great light 🙂

Any recommendations for alternatives?

I have an i5t. I’d say it’s just about perfect for what I want in a single AA clicky. My tiny gripe is it has a very slight greenish tint, otherwise a neutral-white beam. I may have just gotten unlucky with the tint lottery. The UI is great (two modes) and the build quality is outstanding.

I have the i3t on my tool belt which is the AAA version. Agree it has the best simple interface. Key feature for me (that I didn’t find on similar flashlights): it goes to low mode before high. So when you need low mode, it doesn’t blind you first. — I primarily use it for close work.
Haven’t noticed a greenish tint but maybe you can put a warm color gel in the lens?

Just used your coupon for the non sale items while picking up orange and purple’s.
Thank you

That charging magnetic ring was the problem for me. Once I got the Milwaukee I gave up on finding the Magnetic charging cable Unit. After a few Months went to use it and it wouldn’t turn on. In the garbage ! Glad to trash it. Not very versatile tool. Carry around another propriety Cable …. no thanks. Keep it simple stupid ! KISS
Stuart
Unless you exclusively use batteries with built-in USB charging ports, you’re always going to have to deal with a charger.

Noticed a number of comments about a more powerful or standard use light than this one. No affiliation, but check out the Armytek Wizard Pro. For a bit more money you get a very similar light that is brighter, uses standard 18650 batteries, and is more durable (10 year warranty too!) with a magnetic charger too that I’ve had no problem with in the 2 or so years I’ve had it.
Gotta say though I am loving that velcro patch thing… Might have to make one for my light

I miss the deals 🙁
