The Olight EDC LED Flashlight That Won Me Over: S1R Baton II

Olight SR1 Baton LED Flashlight Purple Special Edition

It has been a few months since Olight sent over an S1R Baton II LED flashlight my way, and I have really come to like it. There’s a strong chance I’ll order at least one of the orange-colored S1R Baton II flashlights that’s featured in the Elite Sale.

Questions?

Olight sent over one of their new OPen pen lights and also a Warrior X. I also have an S1R Baton II, and a purchased S2R Baton II and i3T. There’s not a lot of time, but I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Please stop posting these gross and gratituitous advertisements for things I shouldn’t buy. My wife won’t let me read your site any more.

Seriously, I have about 10 Olights in 6 or 7 models. Only 2 are not rechargable. I love the magnetic charging base. It’s super handy and let’s me just being the light near the cable when I go to bed and it jumps up to the light.

I bought 3 more last time you posted and got a freebie. (I guess I might have more than 10…). Now we have them in each car, by the beds, in my pocket, by the couch, in the office, etc. None of them are the really big ones; all are easily pocketable. They last a decent about time on a charge. On their lowest setting, they last quite a while, which was great when we recently lost power for three+ days and just wanted a dim light in the room in the evenings.

I’m not saying these are the best, but they’re good, convenient, and I love the charging system. Having the same charging system let’s me keep a cable in a few places and one to travel with.

I’ve never been overly impressed with Olight in the past, but of course I’m going to check these out. I haven’t bought a new flashlight in years!

Please keep posting great deals. One of these days i’ll splurge. Can’t today, but thats what I call self control. Guess not everyone has that. Sometimes wanting things I can’t have builds character.

Is anybody else having the international fee charge issue? I placed a big order on the last flash sale, paid through PayPal, and learned later that I was hit with a 3% foreign transaction fee because although the purchase was made through Olight USA, it is processed in China.

I just grabbed the freebie this time, and decided to try paying straight with a credit card through the site (not PP) and same thing. This time it’s a $5 order with a 0.10 fee so who cares, but last time irritated me.

That said, I did reach out to support and they refunded me the fee on the first order, but they should make it known that the payment will be charged internationally… I would have used my no foreign fee card on the first order if I knew.

I placed an order in June for $52.47, also paying through credit card and PayPal, but was not charged any transaction fees.

Maybe it has to do with where certain items ship from??

I don’t know.. both of my purchases were on flash sales, perhaps related to that. They didn’t provide much insight, simply “we would be happy to refund you the fee.”

Kudos to customer service for owning it – but there should be a declaration somewhere if they are going to be processing payment overseas on any order. More of an annoyance than anything, luckily I do really like the lights!

Budget’s tight right now, but I grabbed the free-ish ($5 shipping, no big deal) EOS light, thanks for posting this deal. 🙂

When funds flow a bit more freely, I can easily see myself dropping $300+ on some nice lights.

Visited the site and picked up the “free” i1R 2 EOS for only $5 shipping. Not bad. Thank you for steering me there.
