Chris, who recently joined the wallet-hurting PB Swiss Tools Owner’s Club, posted on the ToolGuyd Facebook page that the PB Swiss bug bit again. I asked him what he bought, and then went to see if PB Swiss Tools had come out with anything new recently.
I didn’t see any tools I hadn’t known about before, except maybe a new stubby multi-bit screwdriver combo ($30 via Amazon), but I was reminded about these neat little PB Swiss screwdriver handle-shaped magnets that they came out with a couple of months ago.

When I first learned about these little promo magnets, I either couldn’t find them at a USA dealer, or didn’t want to pay for shipping, I don’t remember. With a quick search I found that they were available on Amazon with free Prime shipping!
Check out our other PB Swiss Tool reviews and news here!
The 6pc magnet set is priced at $20, which is slightly cheaper than Count On Tools is selling them for on their website. On Amazon, they’re sold by Count On Tools but “Fulfilled by Amazon,” which means free Prime shipping or free shipping on $35+ orders for non-Prime members.
$20 for 6 magnets? That’s a little steep, but they seem pretty strong with a 2.5 lb holding weight. And they’re made in Switzerland. And they look like mini PB Swiss screwdrivers. They’re described as Multicraft magnets, and so they’re made of the same strong and durable material as PB Swiss’s Multicraft screwdrivers.
I have a couple of mini Multicraft and SwissGrip screwdrivers, and so I visualize these as being maybe 2-1/2″ long. Since they’re also promo items, you can have them specially ordered with your own logo. The printable area is said to be 8 mm x 30 mm, and so that should hopefully give you a visual approximation of how big these are.
My order’s away, and so I’ll update this post in a couple of days with the magnet dimensions. I was just too excited about finding them on Amazon, and couldn’t wait that long to post about them.

I’m guessing that reader responses will be either “that’s cool,” or “waste of money.” But you know what, they’re cool and also functional.
Hopefully you guys give me less grief about this purchase than my wife will when the order arrives. Honey, in case you’re reading this, I er… um… used my Amazon reward points to buy these. Yea… that’s it. And no, you cannot borrow them for the fridge! Wait, hold on, let’s buy another set!
You could buy these magnets individually from Count On Tools directly, but having to pay shipping kind of kills the bargain. That’s why I was so excited to find them at Amazon with Amazon Fulfilment for just $20.

I’ve always wanted some PB Swiss promo items, but either couldn’t afford them or they weren’t available in the US. Of course, I pulled the trigger on a set of these.
Got a spare cot in the shop?

they are cool if free. but seriously, I can think of many actual working tools I could buy for that.

True, but I’ve also been needing some magnets for holding papers to my toolbox and workbench. There’s a coolness factor premium, and a Swiss-made premium, but I’m still optimistic that these will serve me well for years to come. We shall see.

Hey Stuart, did you get yours yet? I ordered a set after you wrote about them, I was going to order them last year when Tool lady had them on sale, but I forgot and missed the sale. For some reason I thought the handles were going to be a little bigger. But they are pretty neat.
Stuart
Yea, they arrived, and I love ’em! They’re exactly as big as I envisioned, although I don’t know if that’s good or bad. If it’s in a high traffic area, I might knock one off the tool box.
