Over at Amazon they have a Pelican case deal of the day, today only, 11/27/19. There are a couple of other discounted cases beyond these.
Pelican cases are expensive. Tool brands have come out with less expensive tool boxes in recent years, some even with customizable foam. So why buy a Pelican case to protect electronics, select tools, and pricey equipment?

First, they’re really, really tough and durable. I own a couple of Pelican cases for tools and camera equipment, and they’re incredibly well-made, strong, and durable. Granted I haven’t put them through anywhere near as much abuse as they can handle, but I know they can handle it.
Amazon and Pelican have had deals of the day on 12/26 in recent years. I don’t know if this deal replaces that one.
In addition to tool and equipment cases, there are also deals on a couple of Pelican coolers.
While nothing is hand-tool-sized, some of the cases can fit equipment, such as laser layout tools, multimeters, and maybe some tools, such as a cordless drill and driver kit.

Anyone know of hard foam for Pelican cases? Kaizen doesn’t have the size casefoam I want.

Most Pelican cases come with “pick and pluck” foam.
There are special outfitters that can work out tool foam solutions.
You could also ask Kaizen if they could supply an insert to fit your desired box. They might be able to add that size, and if not the worse they can say is no.

As others have noted on the Kaisen thread Pelican foam is fairly sturdy but like all consumer level foam subject to natural gas additive “perfume” degradation.
Even Herman Miller padded office furniture has this long term issue.
That’s why for photography gear we almost always order the Pelican adjustable drop in “Inserts” option. They do not degrade/deform over time.
