Porter Cable Low-Profile Sander Giveaway Winner!

Nov 18, 2009 Stuart 4 Comments

If you buy something through our links, ToolGuyd might earn an affiliate commission.

How the winning comment was chosen: Two numbers were drawn – 28, and 74. The first number denotes the number of days since October 15th, first day of the contest, and the second number denotes that day’s comment number. The ranges for the two numbers were 1-35 and 1-100.

Our protocol was to go back and count the number of reader comments on the randomly chosen day and assign each comment an equal part of the range between 1 and 100. In thise case, there were three comments on the 28th day of the contest, November 11th, and since 74 is between 2/3 and 1, the last commentor of the day is the winner.

Following are links to screenshots of the random number generator.

Dang this thing just died on me. First it kept shocking me, not bad, just felt like static shocks coming from the vents right under the handle. Then it died now it just makes a buzzing sound. I’m checking into warranty right now.

Yikes, that sounds awful, but luckily uncommon. I hope it all works out – please keep me updated as to what happens!
