A couple of months ago we reviewed Porter Cable’s Oscillating Multi-Tool. It’s a decent tool that we actually liked quite a bit. We’re still waiting for a cross-brand blade and accessory adapter to hit the market, but at least Porter Cable-branded accessories are easy to find.
The above video is more of a video tour, but we can spin it up and take some action shots if anyone’s interested. We’re still in honeymoon-mode with our new Fein MultiMaster that was purchased during an Amazon holiday sale, but can always mix it up.

Stuart, as we discussed on your previous post, I purchased this form Amazon about a month ago and really like it. I have/had the Nextec cordless multi tool and the Genisis (Amazon) corded both of these can’t compare to the Porter Cable. The biggest change is obviously the tooless blade change it’s so much easier than previous tools. It’s a nice package and includes quite a few sandpaper sheets. For the price I paid I felt it was a great deal. It is loud, but all of these multi-tools seem loud, although the Gensis…….was by far the loudest out of any of the tools I have tried.

I bought a few weeks ago as well, when the Amazon discounts brought the price down to $84. However, I haven’t needed to use it yet and remain up in the air as to whether to keep or possibly swap for the Dremel MM40.

As far as cross compatable blades and adapters, have you checked out Imperial Blades? They make universal arbor oscillating blades which are primarily US made and have just released an adapter for the Porter Cable oscillating tool.
