Over at Home Depot, at least my local Home Depot, they seem to have plenty of Mossy Oak camouflage-themed Rayovac 2AA LED flashlights that didn’t sell too well before Christmas.
These flashlights were priced at $20 during the holiday season. I was intrigued by the flashlight’s indestructible design claims and reasonably high output, and ended up buying two of the black flashlights for $15 each. My father is currently testing one for ToolGuyd, and I’m testing the other. Thus far, they’re alright.

After seeing that the Mossy Oak camo flashlight dropped to $12, I bought two to include in giveaway packages later this month or next.
The deal is only valid in stores, and the prices might vary. If you want to call your Home Depot for an inventory or price check, the UPC is 012800519637.
Update: It looks like the price is now $3.98. You can purchase online for in-store pickup.

Clarification: During the holiday season Home Depot carried two styles of the same Rayovac flashlight. The regularly stocked product had a black finish and was priced at $15. This Mossy Oak camo-finish special edition model was $20. Now, the Mossy Oak version has been discounted to $12.

I went to home depot yesterday near my work during lunch and saw this light. I really liked it but walked out because I just couldn’t spend money on one more light. I have a million already. I came back to work and looked at reviews and videos of what this light can do. I was amazed at how much abuse this light can take. It is built like a tank. On my way home, I picked one up. I took it home and tried it out. All I can say is WOW. This is a great light for someone that wants to use it in rough conditions. For example, if you are in the rain or somewhere you think this light will fall. The light is very good as well. It is just a little less brighter than my Techlite Lumen Master 250 lumen costco light. The throw is very good. The surprise was the momentary on and off that can be used by just pressing slightly on the button. In addition, I love the tail stand on this light. I put it on low mode last night with tail stand when my wife was asleep and prepared to go to be and I was very impressed with it. For $12 this is a light that you will not go wrong with. Its worth a try. (Just FYI, I don’t own stocks in Rayovac hehe)

It’s a really nice little flashlight, and my husband was so pleased to get in on the $3.98 Home Depot price. I found out this morning, however, that it is not “indestructible” when found by an 8 mos. old German shepherd pup who thought it was a chew toy. Destructible in less than a minute, and now I can’t find a replacement. This is going to be hard to explain. 🙁
