You guys seem to be enjoying this series, and so here’s the latest compilation of tools that readers ordered from Amazon over the weekend.
It takes a bit of work to filter things out – our anonymous affiliate log includes all purchases credited to a ToolGuyd link – but I always find it interesting to see what readers end up buying.
Some of these are new to me, such as the Knipex “cycle pliers,” which look to have ground-down thin jaws. There’s also an angle version. Those pliers look to be suited for the same types of applications as the Tsunoda ultra-thin pliers I posted about here.

Others are familiar, such as the Nepros ratchet. I’ve been exploring the brand, including their new skeletonized-handle ratchet, but have been hesitant to post more about the brand given their pricing and low US availability. Maybe it’s a good fit after all.

I bought the Knipex 84 11 200 (straight cone pliers) and 84 21 200 (angled head cone pliers) back in 2016. They were $26.40 and $22.25 respectively back then. They remind me of – but are a bit more refined than – an Eldi #21 pliers that I had as a kid. Used infrequently – they are useful for grabbing/turning damaged cone nuts.

Those Knipex cycle pliers are great. I mentioned them in reply to the Tsunoda article a while back. I’ve never used them on a bicycle but they are handy for various things, like the serrated 1/8 and 1/4 IPS jam nuts commonly used on lamps.

Other retailer’s affilaite logging doesn’t work in the same way.
Clicking around, I can see that a couple of readers bought the combined bundle with a screwdriver bit set.
But as for exploring different ordered products, it takes 10X the effort to produce 1/10 the insights. I rarely check, except for the day after Black Friday and maybe Cyber Monday, to see if anyone snagged a great deal that I missed.
