Ridgid 1/2″ and Hammer Drill Deals!

Over at Amazon, Ridgid’s 1/2″ drill and a 1/2″ hammer drill are priced considerably lower than at Home Depot and other Ridgid distributors. This could be a temporary sale or price drop, but maybe we’ll see more price drops as part of an end-of-the-year sale.

Ridgid R7111 8-Amp 1/2″ Drill (Amazon – $57 at the time of this posting)
Ridgid R5014 1/2″ Hammer Drill (Amazon – $77 at the time of this posting)

Both drills are currently $99 at Home Depot.

Price already back up to $144.80 on the R7111. Too bad. I really need a new 1/2″ drill.

Thanks, Chris T, for the update. It looks like the hammer drill is still $77. If you’re after a Ridgid branded model, you can always use a hammer drill solely in rotary mode.

For 1/2″ drills, my favorite choice and first recommendation is Milwaukee’s 0234-6 corded drill. It’s a bit more expensive than competitors’ higher-amperage drills, but it’s one of the most solid feeling drills you could buy.
