Over at Home Depot, they’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with a selection of Ridgid, Ryobi, and Makita cordless power tool deals.
There’s a nice variety of tools, kits, and combo kits that are being discounted.

I was a little skeptical about some of the deals at first, but many seem to be quite good. Others are “average” or typical, but might still be worth quick consideration.
The 18V Octane brushless 3/8″ 6-mode impact wrench seems like a good buy – what other brand offers a brushless multi-mode 3/8″ impact wrench kit for anywhere near this kit’s $129 promo price?
- Ridgid 18V Octane 9.0Ah battery and charger kit: $99
- Ridgid 18V drill and impact driver combo kit: $179
- Ridgid 18V Octane brushless 6-mode 3/8″ impact wrench kit: $129

If you’re a Ridgid 18V cordless power tool user, a $10 LED flashlight is going to be hard to pass up.

It’s nice to see the brushless belt sander kit at $139, seeing as how it launched at $149 for the bare tool. The bare tool is currently $129, and so for $10 more you get a battery and charger.

- Ryobi 18V One+ cordless fan plus 2x battery starter kit: $99

Ryobi’s combos are very aggressively priced – $99 for a select tool, compact charger, and (2) Lithium+ HP 3.0Ah batteries. There’s a wide range of tools to choose from, including most “core” tools, but also specialty tools such as a caulk gun and flex shaft rotary tool.

- Ryobi 18V One+ JobPlus multi-tool kit: $89
A full cordless 7-1/4″ miter saw kit for $149? Seems like a good deal if you’re looking for an entry-level saw that doesn’t need to be tethered to an AC outlet.
Deals end at 3am ET 2/15/20 unless supplies sell out sooner.
- Ryobi 18V One+ 6 gal cordless wet/dry vacuum kit (9Ah battery): $169
- Ryobi 18V One+ caulk gun plus 2x battery starter kit: $99
- Ryobi 18V One+ brushless circular saw and drill combo kit: $129
- Ryobi 18V One+ brushless jig saw kit: $129
Ryobi’s 18V cordless wet/dry vac is a good one, and the 9.0Ah battery combo seems like a good deal. If you’d need the high capacity battery and standard charger, there’s also a more economical kit on sale.
- Ryobi 18V One+ 6 gall cordless wet/dry vacuum kit (6Ah battery): $119
- Ryobi homeowners tool kit: $69
- Ryobi 18V One+ cordless reciprocating saw kit: $89
- Ryobi 300pc drill bit and screwdriver bit set: $40

- Ryobi miter saw stand: $59
- SOLD OUT: Ryobi 18V One+ brushless router plus 2x battery starter kit: $99
I’m not surprised the brushless router and starter kit bundle sold out quickly. A shame, but it’s a very good deal and maybe supplies were very limited.
Deals end at 3am ET 2/15/20 unless supplies sell out sooner.
- Makita 14″ gas saw with bonus 18V cordless reciprocating saw kit: $1199
- Makita 18V X2 12″ dual bevel sliding miter saw with bonus stand: $999
- Makita 14″ gas saw with bonus segmented blade: $869
- Makita 15A 10″ sliding miter saw with stand: $649 – see below for what looks to be a better deal
It’s nice to see some very good Makita tool deals, and especially corded miter saws on sale for a change. I don’t quite understand why one would buy this miter saw deal, though. This SKU comes with a miter saw and saw stand, as a bundle, for $649. Below, there’s a deal with what looks to be the same saw, bundled with a separate stand, for $599.
Can you tell the difference between the two SKUs – why buy this $649 bundle over the $599 bundle?
- Makita 15A 10″ dual bevel miter saw with bonus stand: $599 – this seems like a better deal! Right?
- Makita 18V brushless 4-tool cordless combo kit and bonus battery: $479
- Makita 18V brushless 4-tool cordless combo kit and bonus battery: $479 (different tool selection)
- Makita 18V 6-tool cordless combo kit: $449
Deals end at 3am ET 2/15/20 unless supplies sell out sooner.
- Makita 18V brushless 3-tool cordless combo kit and bonus battery: $419
- Makita 18V brushless 2-tool cordless combo kit and bonus battery: $379
- Makita 18V brushless 3-tool sub-compact cordless combo kit and bonus battery: $329
- Makita 18V brushless 3-tool sub-compact cordless combo kit and bonus battery: $329
Makita’s 18V brushless sub-compact cordless power tools rarely go on sale. They’re not *really* on sale here, but you do get a free bonus battery, which is better than paying full price for just the kit.
It looks like some other retailers have similar free battery promos on some Makita SKUs as well.
If you’d rather save money than score a free bonus battery, keep in mind that Acme has a Valentine’s Day promo, today only. If you’re willing to give up the battery, the 3-tool combo drops from $329 to $283 at Acme.
- Makita 18V brushless sub-compact drill and impact driver kit with bonus battery: $309
- Makita 18V brushless hammer drill and impact driver combo kit: $299
- Makita 18V brushless hammer drill and impact driver combo kit and bonus battery: $299
- Makita 18V brushless 3pc cordless combo kit: $149
You need to look closely at these combo kits. One of the brushless drill and impact driver combo kits comes with a free battery, but the better deal is the one that comes with a 3-mode impact driver and dual-port charger, or at least I find that deal to be more appealing.
Deals end at 3am ET 2/15/20 unless supplies sell out sooner.

Ryobi has a whole new lineup of outdoor power tools mostly 40v but also a new 18v string trimmer so you can get some decent deals on the old stuff in store.
Chris
Under the Q and A section for the Makita Saw/Stand kit Makita themselves say that there is no difference. Both include the same saw and same stand.
Just appears that HD has two separate SKU’s and you can save some extra money reading the fine details.
Chris
Also, the full kit has probably been on the site longer than the “saw+bonus” and had a higher MSRP from back then.

Received the e-mail 8 hours after the promotion ended, else I would have been in on a couple of these deals.
Uncle Ralph
I also didn’t get the email until 6 hours after the promo ended. Bummer, I would have picked up a few things, too!
