This is the cheapest I’ve ever seen the Jawhorse and it happens to be the same as the Ridgid superclamp.

I have been wanting one of these clamp stations ever since the Jawhorse came out. I’m too cheap to buy one until I can get a really good deal on one. I’ll be happy when I can get one for $100, even if that takes a couple years.

the rockwell jawhorse can hold 600 pounds compared to the superclamp at 220.. jawhorse also has a dump load of extensions…plus the jawhorse has no plastic parts to break..superclamp does.

the jawhorse also has a 5 year warranty while the superclamp only has a 3 year..and as joe said the jawhorse can hold 600 lbs and the superclamp can hold 220 lbs so its not rocket science what one is built better and stronger

That’s strange, it looks like Joe and Dave’s comments came from the same person…
Whether or not they (both?) have a biased agenda, their points are valid. Yes, the clamps have different capacities, warranties, and available accessories and attachments. Some of the Jawhorse’s extensions can be replicated by a DIYer quite easily while others cannot.
Since this post was first published, we spoke a bit more about the two clamping systems. Our bottom line conclusion was that the Jawhorse should be seen as an upgrade to the SuperJaws/SuperClamp, but its added features come at a higher price. The clamping products are not on a level playing field.
If given then need, we’d likely opt for the Jawhorse. But, if on a tighter budget, the more affordable SuperJaws/SuperClamp is a LOT better than nothing.

I would take some of the reviews with a grain of salt – both the overly positive and negative ones. They seem to have made up their minds before even trying it out.

In regards to the jawhorse, I don’t think too many of us will be using ether one of these tools for holding 600, 500, 400, or even 300 lbs. After much consideration and research, I bought the Ridgid at HD for $139 and found it to be quite sufficient.

I just saw this Ridgid Superclamp selling (NIB) @ Home Depot in Tampa for $113. Since I have never worked on anything even close to 220 lbs., I think I’ll save the $60.
