Father’s Day is just weeks away. How can I tell? Because Rockwell’s Jawhorse work clamp and support has dropped in price to $99 on Amazon. It’s normally priced at $140-150.
I tested an older version of the Jawhorse once, and for the most part it worked great. Then I tested the larger Sheetmaster Jawhorse, and that one was great too. I have since revised my feelings on its mobility – roll it too fast and it’ll rock – but for the most part it’s a handy device.

The Rockwell Jawhorse, with this version being model RK9003, is a hands-free 3-legged work clamp that can support up to 600 pounds. Its clamping jaws can be opened as wide as 37″, and it can exert up to 2,200 pounds of clamping force. The Jawhorse folds up for easy transport and storage, and weighs just 43 pounds.
Rockwell offers quite a few optional accessories that enhance the Jawhorse’s functionality, such as plywood sheet and log-gripping jaws, a tool tray, a saddle bag for out-of-the-way tool storage, as well as miter saw station and mini work table drop-ins that both look to have been discontinued.

We don’t know when the promo pricing will end, but it might be after Father’s Day or when a certain number of units have sold.
Missed last week’s posts? Here are some more Father’s Day tool deals to consider.

Check Lowes.com. Different stores have them at different prices. I was able to snag one for $39 about six months ago.
$52.15 in zipcode 02771 right now:

Stuart
$99 for my zip, and local stores all report having 0 or 1 in stock.
Tom
I’ve read on garagejournal that you can order for a non-local store and call them afterwards to have them ship the item to you. You pay a fee, so it may not be worth it for something this big.
But, the Irwin Power Slot (NWS) pliers have been getting down to $5 in some stores. People are clearing the shelf and then having them mailed.
Lowes.com is so strange the way different stores have entirely different prices.
Tom
Still though, at $99 delivered, this is a great deal.
Stuart
Right, which is why I posted about the deal after noticing the price drop on Amazon. =)
I hadn’t checked other retailers; others might join Amazon and Lowes in offering it for $99, although I’m not sure why my local Lowes stores have such few in stock if it’s supposed to be on sale there too.
JR
Same for my zip. Lowes may be clearing inventory at stores where sales are low on that item.
Tom
Oddly enough, the Irwin Pliers never were actually stocked at my local Lowes. But they are going super-clearance in some stores.
JR
Ouch. $79 to have it shipped via truck for under 20 miles. Closest stores are $99, $59 at further stores. No UPS or similar for this item according to Lowes. Sadly, gas and my time are worth the $40 difference.
JR
Another $99 spent.

Man awesome deal,Ive been wanting one of these for sometime now. Perhaps today the trigger will be pulled.
Dennis
I love my Jawhorse, but from time to time I wish I got the sheetmaster version that can handle a 48″ sheet of plywood.
Stuart
Have you looked at the folding plywood jaw accessory?
Dennis
Yeah, I know they have them, don’t want to spend the 60 bucks. I know eventually I’ll break down and get it though.
Jim
Awesome deal. Ordered and confirm 2 locally at $26.08 each.
The Irwin/NWS pliers at all my local stores came up at $44.98.
Pete
I was just at lowes and it was $79.99
Jim
As of 3:42pm. 20 March: 9 available at Tampa Palms FL 33647 location at $31.29 ea.

Is a single Jawhorse sufficient for most tasks?
Stuart
Yes, except for those that require two. =)
I’d start with one before buying two. You could always add a cheaper aux support if you need a little more side support, but enough to justify a second unit.
Lukas
Haha, thanks!
Nathan
is there a write up on these accessories? cause now I’m very curious
Ben
Just spent 99 dollars, thx for the information
