Did you check out Ben’s review of the Ryobi 18V One+ cordless hand vac from earlier this month? You should – he did a great job testing the tool and covering its pros and cons.
As soon as Ben’s review went live, we heard from a couple of places that Ryobi was coming out with a new cordless vac. Oh yes! Oh no!

Yes, it’s true – there’s a new light green-colored vac. BUT, it’s essentially the same vacuum. This is what our friends at Ryobi said about the new vac:
The new green version is very similar to the previous blue one. Just updated the color and overmold to match the new brand language.
So if you’re looking to add a hand vac to your Ryobi 18V cordless power tool collection, don’t be concerned if you can only find the blue model or the green one. They’re basically the same.
The new model is also priced at $25, which is still a great price for what you get. It looks like you can no longer buy the blue model online – only the green one is shown in stock, but it will probably be some time before the green model replaces the blue one in stores.

I think I’m giving up on the B&D dustbuster. Your reviews have changed my mind and I can see the value of having a battery hand vac that I don’t have to keep plugged in or wait to recharge. I have a bunch of ryobi stuff for yard and shop and I plan to ditch the dustbuster when it dies, which it’s getting close to.

Dang. I was hoping they improved it. I used a blue one a couple years ago, it was garbage. But hey, if your looking to suck up some smoke, dry ice, steam, ect, then this is the vac for YOU!

It looks like Ryobi is finally making the big push to pretty much eliminate the old blue tools from the stores. To be honest I think I preferred the blue better. That bright green color is pretty obnoxious not to say that Milwaukee red or Dewalt Yellow isn’t bold is just lying, I swear you could see a Ryobi tool a mile away. One thing you won’t ever lose a tool

Ryobi was the first set of tools I have ever owned. I bought them because they are green. I love the green and wish more of my tools were green.
On job sites me and my co workers deal with loosing or misplacing tools (mostly hand tools) and if they were all bright like this, that wouldn’t be a issue

If I say this thing really sucks,is that a compliment or a putdown?
