Ryobi tools are a fantastic bang for your buck.
Ryobi accessories (drill bits, saw blades etc etc…) are absolute trash.

These deals are nearly identical from last year.
There is absolutely no deal to be made this year nor is anyone going to spend a significant amount of money. Ryobi seems to think that everybody needs a new kit of their lowest tier tools when in reality people who already have it are the ones that are going to buy more.
Since I already have everything that they offer I was not able to purchase anything or get the battery deal with a free tool. What am I going to do with another tool that I already have. I already have a full set along with a bunch of other cool tools. I have six drills I mean I don’t need anymore. What I’m looking for are the oddities the things that you wouldn’t find or really cool low price kit. I have a bunch of the odds and end tools like the heat gun, all the glue guns and I would like to get things like the soldering iron The Dremel and a few other things. Why don’t we just go ahead and get those things and put them up during these sales. Instead of only having a handful of tools why don’t we put up like 20 or 30 of them so that people I can have some options and some more options.

There are 3 types of Ryobi customers:
i) Potential customers looking to buy their first power tools.
ii) Ryobi owners who don’t have a lot of tools yet.
iii) Ryobi owners who already own a very broad set of tools.
Every year people complain about how all of the tools are the same. Retailers and brands know exactly how many tools they sell each year. As long as they keep selling, they’ll repeat the same strategies.
They do have some deals for existing customers, but the more tools you already have, the fewer deals will appeal to you. It’s unfortunate, but a lot of people run into this at some point.

That leaked PCL400 is back at the same leak price. At such a low price I do wonder/worry how well it’s made since its new and has never been reviewed.
Stuart
I have a review sample but won’t resume testing tools for a couple of weeks. Home Depot tends to have a good return policy – I’d be more worried about how long their inventory will last.

Very disappointed they decided not to have two large batteries on the free tool deal . They were always full size until now. Won’t be getting any, the small batteries are useless
