The new Sears/Craftsman 2009 Holiday Tool Catalog is OUT!!!

Because last year’s holiday tool catalog was so intensely satisfying, I have been waiting weeks for this year’s catalog to be published. Don’t worry, I will spare you the obsessive details, at least for now.

The new catalog does two things: 1) it highlights a few new products, and 2) it strongly emphasizes that Sears is partnering with many more brands than ever before.

The trend of Sears’ increasing selection of brands became more noticeable about a year ago when the Craftsman catalog became the Tools featuring Craftsman catalog. While it was expected for Sears to expand their brand offerings further, the rate of this expansion is phenomenal.

While I am unfamiliar with some of the new brands of tools that Sears will soon carry, several are quite well known to me, such as: Wera, Shroder/Schroeder, Montezuma, and Grip-on.

Unfortunately, some of the new or newly carried items might not be immediately available for sale. Even more unfortunate is that the prices of quite a few of the new non-Craftsman branded tools are higher than at other retailers.

Here’s a direct link to the catalog. In case the link breaks, you can access it from this Sears’ page.

Thanks for the links Stuart! I would have missed out on this if you hadn’t posted. I always get more excited a/b tools around the holidays, is that wrong?

I just bought my first home and that garage needs some love before it can house all the bikes properly

That cover art just seems wrong for a Sears catalog.

I was reading through your old posts and get a bit sad when I read this one. I recall when the new sears tool catalog came out every year and I would scour it for new tools. Now, they are in such a sad state.
