Sears Craftsman Mechanics Tool Sets Veterans Day Sale

My father called me with me a tip about Sears’ Veteran’s Day sale. Save up to 50% on Craftsman mechanics tool sets at Sears, now through Friday 11/9/12.

These up-to 50%-off sales are quite common, with only a few sets actually being 50%-off. If you’ve been looking for your first mechanics tool set or want to upgrade from a $10 import special, now’s a good time.

A Veterans Day sale that doesn’t actually extend to Veterans Day?

Maybe it does? Details say “ends Friday,” with no mention of 11/9 or 11/16.

The Sears Vetern’s Day Circular circular states the following: “Unless otherwise stated, sale in effect Sunday, November 11-Tuesday, November 13”.

Additionally, Family& Friends get extra % off (varies on items) on Sunday 6-9pm.

Availability of items shown in (this) advertisement may vary by store.
Anoter overlapping Sears Circular (non Veteran’s Day) has an expiration date of the 17th.

I just received an email from Sears saying Veteran’s Day sales are valid 11/8 thru 11/9. Go figure.

I’m wondering why a veterans day sale…to honor vets.. would be extended to the general pubic.

How would they limit it to vets? Require everyone to show discharge papers to get the items at the sale price?

It’s just a typical marketing and advertising ploy. Note that many other sellers are offering “Veteran’s Day” sales.

Veteran’s made huge sacrafices and a lot gave the ultimate sacrifice it’s sad that when we see a homeless vet on the street or a sick vet at the V.A. whatseems most important is. Business think about is how to make money on veteran’s a simple thank you for your service or a hand shake would be better than trying get veteran’s attention to spend money. I am a United State Marine Veteran 1st Bn 5th Mar 1st Mar Div Semper Fi help a vet in need and forget the greed.
