Skinth OG Ultimate Multi-Tool Sheath

Skinth OG Sheath Closed

Skinth is a new “skinny sheath storage solution” designed to holder smaller multi-tools and several accessories. Too often, multi-tools are bundled with bulky and unsightly sheaths that cannot accommodate any accessories or other gear. Sure, there are plenty of aftermarket sheaths available (e.g. Maxpedition single sheath), but Skinth sheaths look quite a bit more versatile.

And in case you’re wondering, Skinth also makes smartphone cases of a similar compact style.

Skinth OG Sheath Front

The Skinth OG is made from 1000D Cordura nylon, and is sized for a medium-sized 4″ multi-tool. Interior dimensions are 1.75″ wide x 3/4″ deep x 3″ long. There is also an extended Skinth Plus that can hold a 4.5″-5″ tool with its 3.5″-long compartment.

The Skinth can also hold Leatherman bit cards in a separate pocket, and side pockets can be used to hold slender flashlights or pens. A front Velcroed flap keeps your tools secure, but the side pockets on the OG and Plus models are left open.

Pricing is $35 + $6 shipping. Worth noting, Skinths are designed and handmade in Canada!

    Greg,

I agree that it’s cool. I’m always looking for ways to carry less bulk with more function. My issue with this, is that it ain’t 35 dollars plus 6 dollars shipping cool!

Just received my Skinth OG yesterday. I guess im a little underwhelmed after the price and the wait time to receive it. Every picture I’ve seen on this site and the Skinth website show the pen pockets open at the bottom. Mine are sewn shut so putting anything other than a very small pen or short flashlight in the sleeves is impossible. Have’nt fully decided what to carry in each pocket yet so Im still undecided on it’s worth.

I don’t know what to recommend, other than to contact them to see what they can do for you.

It does say on the product page that by default, these tubes are closed unless specified in the additional comments.

In the OG I have, one side tube pocket is open, the other closed. The closed one fits AAA flashlights or USB flash drives, and other similarly-sized items.

Any future OGs I order will have a similar configuration, but with an added flap over the open side tube to avoid flashlights and pens with weak clips from popping out.

Your right. I wish I had noticed that at the time as opposed to paying attention more to the pictures. I have a small streamline flashlight that fits in the one tube and even without the flaps it is a snug fit so Im not worried about losing it. I’d like to find a good pen that will fit in the other. Thanks for the reply

Great site! What kind of flashlight and pen do you have in your pictures of this Skinth OG case?

Hi. Do you have anyone in South Africa that sells this product? I am interested in testing the pouch and would like to get my hands on one.
