Stanley Dip it Drop it Dunk it Waterproof Spotlight Flashlight

The FL5W10 Stanley Dip It Drop It Dunk It is their new waterproof handheld spotlight. It outputs up to 500 lumens of light, has a runtime of up to 10 hours, and is rechargeable. A high/low dimmer allows you to choose between maximum brightness or extended runtime.

Dip It Drop It Dunk It is submsersible and can be used safely in water up to 6 feet deep. There’s no need to worry about the flashlight dropping to the bottom of a lake or ocean – it floats!

If you don’t need a waterproof spotlight, Stanley also offers a well reviewed model (SL5W09) that features a slightly lower powered 5 watt Cree LED.

You can order one of these for $60 via Stanley $35 via Amazon.

Got the FL5W10 for Christmas this year. All I can say is,WOW!! What a nice little spotlight!!! If any body ever wanted a perfect compact spotlight, this is “THE ONE TO HAVE”!! I cant believe how bright that tiny l.e.d. light is.The dimming and brightening switch is a nice feature. Also comes with home charger and car charger. Really nice light!!! Got mine at Sams Club for $40. GO GET ONE!!!

I found the FL5W10 at Meijer’s (Michigan area) in early Dec. for $70, and love the light! The unique on/off and brightness switch mechanism in the handle employs small magnets to activate reed switches on the circuit board inside the sealed, waterproof case. The only openings in the case are the front bezel and the rear cover, both of which are sealed with heavy rubber O-rings. My only concern is that, at last check, Stanley’s website http://www.stanleytools.com/ doesn’t list this model and a search of their site returns no reference whatsoever. So what does one do when seeking spare parts – maybe the design of this light is so incredible that it will last for the forseeable future, one could hope.

Let it sit for a year. Doesn’t keep charge.
