Stanley 25-Foot Lever Lock Tape Measure

Over at Amazon, this Stanley 25-foot LeverLock tape measure is priced quite low, at $3.99. It has “add-on” status, which means it won’t ship until your order totals $25 or more.

While not the toughest tape measure, or a contender in any standout competitions, the LeverLock has a convenient locking mechanism. The tape measure blade automatically locks in place, and is retracted with a quick squeeze.

Quite simply, it’s a nice tape measure. Not everyone will love the LeverLock design, but for just $4, it’s not much of a risk to try this one out.

The 25′ LeverLock, model STHT30825, seems to sell for $9-12 elsewhere.

Price: $3.99, ships with $25+ order

There’s also a Stanley $10 off $50+ promotion going on right now. This tape measure is eligible.

Ace Hardware currently has this tape in stores for $2.99 when using your Ace Rewards Card. Nice tape for the money. I pick up one every time I am in there right now.

I checked online, and it says $3.99, with “$1 in cart savings”. Link. Everywhere else still has it for $9 and up.

Ace also has a bunch of other stuff for $2.99. Stanley screwdrivers, pry bars, 2 pc pliers set, chisels, etc. It’s $3.99, but if you are a rewards member, it take a dollar off. Great stocking stuffers for friends and relatives who just need some tools for light home repair, teens, etc. Of you could put together a small hand tool kit except for the hammer. Ace often has these great buys. I live very close to an Ace and try to give them my business whenever possible, local franchise and nice, friendly folks.

I got one of these tapes and loved it…. for a few months. With very light around-the-house use, the lever mechanism quickly wore out to the point that getting the tape to remain extended is a real pain. It’s a neat design, but poor execution.

    Same as Jon.
The mechanism when new, wasn’t strong enough to support the weight of the tape, like in the few times where you drop the tape housing and are left with the blade in your hands. Have to pull the entire tape out to get to the housing.
