Behold, Stanley’s flexible tripod work light – the SquidBrite. Featuring a rechargeable battery and magnetic back, this looks to be a rather versatile work light. The lamp appears to have twenty LEDs, but there is no word yet as to whether there is a variable output switch.

An alternative work light at a similar price is the Gorillatorch. While the SquidBrite appears to be much bigger (and possibly more durable), we’re not too happy that it requires a rechargeable battery.

It looks like the SquidBrite was very quietly released a few months ago. Unfortunately, we cannot find any product information or details via Stanley’s website, nor have we received a response to our email inquiry.

Stanley’s SB0109 SquidBrite work light is priced at about $30 via Amazon.

Edit: Stanley got back to us, and we’ve also found someone with firsthand experience with the SquidBrite. Check out the update post for additional info about the tool.

i have a camera tripod with the same design legs. my camera was too heavy for it but a LED light shoud be light (pun HEHE) enough for them. the legs would enable you to wrap it around or hook it over things to put the light where you want it.
