If you’re looking for a new 18V or 20V Max cordless power tool combo kit and you want brushless motors, and tool-wise you specifically want a drill, premium-featured impact driver, and 7-1/4″ circular saw, BUY THIS Dewalt combo, RIGHT NOW (DCK483D2).
Last night, I stayed up late and wrote up a deal discussion post about a new Dewalt 20V Max brushless cordless power tool combo kit at Lowe’s that features Dewalt’s value-priced (and spec’ed) drill and impact driver.

That value-priced kit is $269, and I don’t think there’s a lot of flexibility in the price.
I discussed the merits of that value-offering, and why I thought Dewalt’s upgraded kit was worth spending a little extra for.
At the time I wrote up the post, the upgraded kit, which comes with Dewalt’s much better premium brushless drill and impact driver, was ~$345. The regular price is $399.
Then, I woke up, started my morning work routine, and came across two comments referencing a $249 price. What?
This upgraded Dewalt 4pc brushless power tool combo kit is currently $249, down from its regular price of $399!
That’s just crazy! Should I buy one? I just might at these a price like this!

Should you buy one? Absolutely. If you’re even on the fence about it, buy it now while you can. This is the best starter kit for serious users – I said as much previously when evaluating Black Friday and Holiday season “special buy” combo kits.
The only “gotcha” is that the kit comes with compact 2.0Ah batteries, while the saw could really benefit from a higher capacity battery. But you know what? With a $249 price tag I can absolutely overlook that.
For what you get, and if this is what you want, this is a BETTER bargain than any Dewalt Black Friday 2019 cordless power tool combo kit or special buy I’ve seen so far, at least for more serious users not interested in the older brushed power tools or a mix of value-focused and regular line items.
These tools in this brushless combo kit are unregrettable choices, if that makes sense. It comes with Dewalt’s only brushless circular saw, their best compact brushless drill/driver, and their best brushless impact driver.
Buy it, buy it now.
There is zero indication as to when the deal might end. Right now, it looks like both Amazon and Home Depot, and no other retailers, are offering the $249 price.

The biggest question I have right now: do I/ToolGuyd need these tools? I am still holding onto my review samples. Do I want “personal” copies of the tools at pricing this good? Should I buy a set or two for giveaway purposes?
*Deep breath* Resist the temptation to buy new tools, no matter how good the deal is. Right?
For context, I recently discussed Lowe’s value-focused 5pc Dewalt combo kit deal against a Home Depot 5pc Dewalt combo kit deal. That Lowe’s deal is also $249, and the Home Depot deal $299. This current brushless deal is much better than both, at least if you don’t quite need a reciprocating saw.

Thanks for posting this – I’ve been hunting a deal on the brushless gear, particularly the circular saw, and a no-compromise set made it an easy decision.

This was too good a deal for me to pass up. Also picked up a 2 pack of the 20V MAX XR 5.0-Ah batteries for $97 after the amazon $25 dewalt promo.

I am a professional contractor and I use the same drill, impact and saw on a daily basis. That saw along with a 6 amp hour battery convinced me to go all cordless. Worth every penny. I’m not a dewalt “fanboy” by any means, I do own some milwaukee m12 stuff for specific applications. The saw is far superior to the Milwaukee offering. The guy who works for me runs strictly milwaukee so I’ve had the chance to do alot of real world side by side comparisons. Wish I could justify jumping on this deal!

NAILED IT! Thanks a million Stu!

You made my day (and someone else) . I was looking for that “something special” Christmas gift for my brother – sent this to him. Now I refresh your home page like every half hour looking for great deals. Thanks!

Thank you, Stuart!
I ‘m jumping into Dewalt cordless this year. I was planning on taking advantage of the HD $399 BOGO offer, but this is a better deal.
I wouldn’t have known about it without ToolGuyd!

I don’t need these items and I’m pretty much on the Milwaukee battery system, but damn, Stuart, you almost made me buy this
Stuart
Sorry!
This time of year I’m too exhausted to temper my enthusiasm and surprise.
If I take too long to compose myself, deals sell out and everyone loses.

You seem to maintain your persuasive powers when you’re exhausted!
Keep going, Stuart, I’ve gotten many a good deal thanks to you, and I’ve learned so much about tools and projects from your site. Thanks!

That is an awesome deal! If I hadn’t bought into Craftsman’s V20 line starting with the brushless drill & impact I’d be all over this. I have 350 bucks into just those two tools alone. Even though I’ve grown fond of Milwaukee as of late (for their impact wrenches) I just love the blade right Dewalt saw. I have an older blade left C3 cordless saw and still just don’t care for it so I never got the V20 one. I guess I’m a permanent blade right guy. Every time I’ve picked up this saw in store I’ve wanted to buy it. Kinda makes me wish I hadn’t got rid of my old Dewalt 20v stuff and switched to Craftsman. I could justify it then.

This kit was my first 20v purchase. I bought them to replace my aging 18v NiCad Dewalt tools. They are great tools; a significant improvement in run time, weight and power. I paid just a bit more last fall and still thought itwas a good deal.
With prices like this, there is no point in buying brushed tools.
Justin
Thanks for this post! I surely do not need these top-of-the-line tools, but as my wife rightly pointed out, I’ll just want them down the line so I may as well buy them today.
Aaron
Apparently Lowe’s has matched this price. Really strange, though; they don’t have an end date or special markdown graphic (such as save “x” percent) on their website. I’m baffled that this isn’t mentioned in any Black Friday flyer! Is it some kind of fluke? The other version that comes with the recip saw instead of the circular is still normal price, and they’re usually identical (not that I’m complaining, as I’d prefer the circular anyway).
Thom
Very tempting Stuey. If I didn’t already have the Milwaukee Fuel circular daw and a 12 AH battery I would be all over this

At Amazon the BRUSHLESS DCK694P2 kit is an excellent deal at $525 after promotion. 7 1/4 circ saw, sawzall, hammerdrill, 3 speed impact driver, 2 batteries 5.0, oscillating saw, flashlight. I just received it yesterday.
Stuart
Thanks!
That does look to be a good deal. I’ve been receiving a lot of tips about it, finally posted about it here: https://toolguyd.com/dewalt-pro-20v-max-brushless-cordless-power-tool-combo-kit-deal-112819/

Glad I just saw this post!…used the Lowe’s card and got it for $236. Been reading your posts for a while now Stuart….Keep up the good work. Thank You!
Eric
I wish I’d gotten one of these! Another pretty good deal is the DCK299D1W1 kit at Lowe’s for $349. Comes with one free tool, the list includes the DCS570.
You get a DCD998, DCF887, DCS570, 2Ah, 8Ah, and fast charger.
