Craftsman’s World’s Best Dad socket and ratchet set has dropped in price recently to $10. We’ve been tracking this set for a while, but the price never seemed right at $25-$30. This 3/8″ SAE set includes a Craftsman Professional ratchet, 6pt sockets in sizes 5/8″, 11/16″, 3/4″, 13/16″, 7/8″, 15/16″, and 1″, and a wood […]
Through Tuesday 6/1/10, Sears is offering free shipping on online tool orders over $99. There will also be a post-holiday sale the following week. Quite a few Craftsman tools have been marked down as well, so if there’s something on your wishlist, check the price.
Sears is holding an unadvertised 15%-off sale on regularly priced tools. Check the screenshot image above and Sears’ site for details. Regardless of what it says, I am seeing that “catalog” items are being discounted.
I received the new 2010-2011 tool catalog from Sears today. From the looks of it, Sears is wasting no time in advertising their new partnership with Hitachi. Whereas in the previous 2010-2011 catalog version, there were few Craftsman tools on the cover, this edition features only Craftsman and Gearwrench wrenches.
Reader and frequent commentor IndyEngineer tipped us off to a great deal currently at Sears. The above shown ball bearing storage combo is now $700, which is 50% off its regular price of $1400. That’s a great deal indeed! Craftsman 22 Drawer 40-inch Ball Bearing Storage Combo
There’s definitely something strange going on between Sears and their Craftsman brand, and I have a feeling that it goes way beyond the recent agreement to sell Craftsman tools at Ace Hardware. Just take a look at the cover of Sears’ 2010-2011 tool catalog – Craftsman tools are missing!
There are a few updated details about the new partnership between Sears, Craftsman, and Ace Hardware that we thought you would find interesting. That, and we cannot keep our thoughts about this to ourselves for any longer.
To help improve sales, Sears has agreed to sell Craftsman branded tools through Ace Hardware. Early reports are saying that the partnership will start with 100 Ace stores carrying about 10% of the Craftsman product line by May. It has not yet been decided if Sears will roll out this “store-within-a-store Craftsman offering” to all 4500 […]
Sears’ Black Friday sales flyer has been leaked! A list of the discounted items can be found over at bfads.net, and a full scan of the sales flyer can be downloaded from Bfads’ adscan page. We briefly went through the flyer and found quite a few decent deals mixed in with the expected ones. Overall, we […]
Please excuse the tone of this post as I am both excited and horrified. There I was, minding my own business browsing the tool categories at Amazon, when I came across Craftsman tools offered for sale. First Ridgid tools are picked up and added to their product catalog, now Craftsman? Craftsman tools being offered for sale by 3rd parties […]
The new Sears/Craftsman 2009 Holiday Tool Catalog is OUT!!! Because last year’s holiday tool catalog was so intensely satisfying, I have been waiting weeks for this year’s catalog to be published. Don’t worry, I will spare you the obsessive details, at least for now. The new catalog does two things: 1) it highlights a few new products, […]
Gearwrench has recently (and quietly) released a new tool – a 12″ indexing nail puller. This tool combines the efficiency and ease of a cat’s paw puller design with the convenience of a pivoting lever arm with 180° of swing. This indexing puller is intended to be used in tight quarters and between closely spaced beams, and likely performs […]
Almost nothing is as frustrating as having to take a break from a project to go and out and buy a missing insert bit size or style. For that reason, a general application bit set, such as Titan’s 61 piece set, is great to keep around. The selection of bits in Titan’s 61 piece bit […]
