Over at Tool Nut, it looks like they have the new Festool Systainer cart in stock, in Tanos color scheme.
Not only is the updated Systainer3 cart in stock, it’s priced at $90, which is 10% ($9) lower than the price of the older-style Systainer cart.

Shown here is the older (current) Festool Sys-Cart. The older Festool Systainer cart is compatible with older-style and T-Loc-style Systainer tool boxes alike.
The new Festool and Tanos Systainer3 cart is only compatible with T-Loc Systainers, but it also has additional handles, strap-routing slots, and it’s wider. According to product images I saw a few months back, the new cart’s added width and locking recesses make it capable of supporting larger midi-sized Systainers.
Also, the new Systainer cart’s platform is flatter, allowing it to be used as a general purpose dolly.

It has a weight capacity of 220 lbs.
I have a long discussion about why I was looking this up, but will save that for a later post. Yes, $90 is still pricey, but sometimes you need a ready-to-go solution. I own a couple of Bosch L-Boxx carts/dollys, and those were pricey too (currently $80 via Amazon), but they have also proved to be indispensable over the past 7 years.
With something like this, you cry once. If you only have T-Loc Systainers and can accommodate the wider size of these new carts, you’ll cry a little less hard with the current pricing.

I was previously told that it’ll be a while before we see new Festool Systainer3 carts or empty tool boxes here in the USA, and so you’ll have to make due with the Tanos-blue T-Loc locking tab.

Tim over at Systainer.store will happily sell you a different color tab, or order them with whatever color tab you want. I’ve been very impressed with his customer service. Might be worth setting up an affiliate relationship so you can hawk his wares; he often gets Euro-only bits, like odd-colored “security set” keyed T-locs.

If this is the same as the Sortainer latch – it looks like it but there’s no guarantee – that store only has them in red.
I’ve seen replacement T-Loc latches in various colors before, but never found them necessary. I could see how they could be useful for color-coding different tool boxes.

Fair point on the website; you have to send a message to get the unusual stuff. I was able to get a repair part for my Sys.cart, for example, by writing in.
A couple different latch colors can be great to, for example, quickly tell the difference between Truck #1’s box and Truck #2’s. A stack of T-locs with every latch a different color, on the other hand, is nigh seizure-inducing for a person like me. Then again, I also replaced a set of sockets because the numbers didn’t all face the same direction when placed on the rail*, so I’ve probably got a couple loose screws in the ol’ noggin.
*: Seriously, Wera, WTF!?

Make 2 plywood versions with extra casters I had, along with 3D printed parts to lock a systainer down. You can find the part files on Thingiverse. They work great.

Very late comment – the old version, which you can still find in a few places as of late February 2021, will latch earlier generation Systainers like the Makita tool boxes, which is not true of the new version. I bought a couple from the local Woodcraft. They didn’t have any new inventory but had several in use with store inventory. He sold me two of the old version and replaced them with the new ones. My Makita boxes are now happily easily wheeled around the shop.
