Tekton Offset Screwdriver

Tekton’s 14-in-1 offset screwdriver set features a non-ratcheting L-shaped bit driver and (7) double-sided screwdriver bits.

The Tekton L-wrench driver features spring-clip bit retention mechanisms on both sides. The bit holder on the short end allows for high-torque and low-profile applications, and the one on the long end offers greater reach for lower-torque applications.

I have not yet tried this driver, but it looks like an economical version of the Engineer L-Wrenches that I own and enjoy using.

Price: $7-8

Would be interested in a review for this one. In particular a head to head against the dr-7 engineer wrench. I’d like to get a value priced one for home use.

Stuart–This set and the Engineer L-wrenches are pretty nice. For what may be the ultimate in low-profile screwdrivers, check out the Anex 6102T Ultra Low Profile Screwdriver Handle, selling for $24.86 on amazon.com. The set has three flat-bodied steel screwdriver handles (2 mm or 0.08″ thick) on a keyring. Each blade is approx. 108 mm (4.25″) long; one has a No.1 Phillips, one a No. 2 Phillips and the other is a small flat-blade bit attached at the narrow business end. I was first made aware of them in your post about the Snap-on Industrial Tools sale a few weeks ago. I searched on Amazon and eventually purchased the set from an outfit called LevelChrome. Anex also offers these in hex and torx sets if you need them. I suspect if you can’t remove a screw in a tight spot using one of these, then it can’t be done.

I bought this ages ago but it was a different brand, if clearance is a problem then having to lift it up and down again as there is no ratchet is a pain, but the biggest problem is when the black metal retaining rings either end move and let the ball bearing escape, which obviously results in them losing the ability to retain the bits, very annoying.

Put the money towards a decent ratcheting bit holder instead.
