I got an email from ToolUp today – promoting what they call a “free battery” sale.

    https://www.toolup.com/

Not sure if there is anything special about it – but thought to pass it on.

A Letherman email also promoted 50% off on customizations:

I tried to hold out on the xgt promo and convince myself it’d circle back later.. but on the upside now I’ll have 6 batteries and probably be set for a while.

This is the first time Makita has had a promo like this.

I wanted more batteries and to give the basic combo kit a try. Went with the router to fulfill a review request, recip saw, blower (via Amazon Japan for lower price and more attachments), and drill + impact combo kit for 2x compact and 2x higher capacity batteries.

If I didn’t already buy the track saw last year, I would have went for it now given the freebies they’re offering with it.

I bought 2 Makita track saws last year. One was a 18Vx2 and the other an XGT. They went as gifts. They now reside in 2 different states – so we’ve never tried them side by side. Both recipients say they work well. One recipient was already invested in the LXT lineup – while the other was more a M18 guy. If Milwaukee had been a bit quicker with their tracksaw release – he probably would have gotten it.

I bought a Makita 18V X2 earth auger (XGD01Z) in 2021 for my own use – and might have bought the XGT model had it been available back then.

I’m not seeing the XGT promotion on Acme’s website or at the link? The only Makita deal I can find is a “free” LXT battery on select tools.

I found it easy enough by just searching on XGT. It shows up as sort of a footnote on the tools that are eligible – and if you add 2 of those to your cart the free battery seems to appear. Strange that they don’t have it as a banner headline.

For me it’s on the homepage. Otherwise just check the pages for kits and it should mention the two free batteries.

Try this one – Makita XGT Free Battery Promo .

      Home Depot has it too.

My Acme order was backordered. After 6 weeks with no ETA I cancelled and reordered via Home Depot. Acme shipped my non-backordered tools and battery very quickly.
