There are some new tool sales and promos you might find helpful. Some are deals of the day or flash sales, others have later or unspecified end dates.
Home Depot has another tool deals of the day event, featuring Milwaukee, Ridgid, Dewalt, and Ryobi. There are some decent bundle bargains, it’s worth a quick look. Ends at 3am ET 6/7/22.
CPO Tools has different promotions, with the most notable being 10% off all Dewalt 20V Max products. Use coupon code DEW20VMAX, ends in 48 hours (presumably end of day 6/7/22).

That’s one of the best prices I’ve seen on the Makita XMT04ZB OMT for $185. Just in case anyone is looking for one. It was recently over $220, which was crazy.
Stuart
$185.90 – that is a good price! https://amzn.to/3mhoghx
The sub-compact OMT dipped below $200 at times, and was $194.19 at Amazon for Black Friday.
Gordon
December 28th I caught it with a clickable coupon for $169 pretax. I don’t think there has been a better price.
And it’s an amazing tool. The anti-vibration is for real. I was dubious of the latch and pin system they use, but I have grown to really like it. I can release, rotate, and lock the blade in a matter of seconds, with one hand.
Rog
I bought the new Makita OMT and its AWESOME. Blows away any other multi tool I’ve ever held. Barely any noise or vibration. Tho I guess that’s what you get for that high price point.

Yes, I appreciate these notices. I am an old guy with few needs and fewer wants for the toolbox. Just looking for a few specific things at this point.
Bill
Stuart, have you seen any deals on the new gen2 Milwaukee Fuel M18 15ga finish nailer, bare tool?
Stuart
Not usually. Cordless nailers are very rarely discounted aside from rare bundles or retailer dollar off bundles.
fred
NailGunDepot – might be worth a look. They advertise it for $299 and it may be subject to their 5% off coupon.
fred
ToolUp is also having a Milwaukee Sale – $25 off on over $100 – using code MIL25
Bill
Stuart and Fred, thank you both for your reply. I have not done business with either Tool Up or Nail Gun Depot. Would you consider both to be trustworthy businesses?
Stuart
I’m sorry – I don’t have experiences with either retailer. Tool Up seems reputable. I’ve never shopped there (yet?) because my usual go-to’s (all mentioned in the above post) usually have matching or better prices, and I’m familiar and satisfied with their customer service and customer experiences.
MM
I’ve shopped with ToolUp twice, never had a problem.
I’ve never dealt with Nail Gun Depot.
fred
I’ve shopped with ToolUp quit a bit – with no issues. They do let you know if items are not in stock and provide estimates on lead-time. But like others these days – delays from manufacturers can be a problem. They are located in the Las Vegas area.
We used to buy a lot from NailGunDepot (NGD) – with no issues. But my experience with them is at least 10 years old. Back then they shipped tools for free – but added shipping costs for things like nails and staples. Back then we bought mostly things like Fasco scrails and other less commonly found fasteners from them.
fred
I just got an email from ToolBarn – they are selling it for $329 – but with a $50 off promo it comes to $279

Lowes also has some Craftsman V series mechanics hand tools on sale. Most you have to add to cart to see the sale price.

Grainger has a 3 pc set of Proto locking pliers on clearance for $24.99.

Home Depot is also running the free Milwaukee Crate promo.
Mike
I can’t find this on homedepot.com, is this in-store only or does anyone have a link for a free crate promo?
I also missed out on the PACKOUT 2-Drawer and 3-Drawer Toolboxes with Dolly and Work Surface. It was instock online last night, 6 hours later out of stock again.
fred
Toolnut is also doing a $50 off $300 or $20 off $150 om Makita – good thru 6/8.
I’m tempted – the GSH04Z – saw drops from $529 to $479

the dewalt deal at amazon says 4 amp battery, but in the images is showed a 5 amp battery.
Big Richard
Always go off the model number and associated battery code, not the pic or description. The letter P designates a 5Ah battery, M a 4Ah battery, C a 2Ah battery, etc..
Stuart
As Big Richard mentions, the images and P1 (from DCK300P1) indicate that a 5Ah battery is included. There is also a 4Ah M1 version of this kit at other retailers.
Eric
FWIW, Bosch has been doing their annual Summer/Fathers day sale for weeks now across multiple stores…

The Makita XMT04ZB OMT is currently $159 on amazon!
