Metabo HPT Triple Hammer Impact Deals
The Metabo HPT 18V brushless Triple Hammer impact driver is still my favorite. It hits hard – up to 1832 in-lbs max torque – and has multiple speed settings that help to dial in the performance.
This kit is a hot buy at $99 – this is the only premium multi-speed impact I’ve seen at anywhere close to this price for Black Friday 2022.
The $99 deal is stellar, but in my opinion the 2pc combo kit is absolutely worth stretching your budget another $30. For $129, you also get a compact brushless drill/driver, and the batteries are bumped up from 1.5Ah to 3.0Ah packs.
I bought this combo kit last year and have had zero regrets. I had high expectations going into it, as I’ve had a long-time Triple Hammer with Hitachi branding.
This is – in my opinion – the best 2pc drill and impact driver kit at anywhere close to $129 right now.

I have not tried any Duratech tools yet, but some of them look identical to tools I’ve tried from other brands before.
As far as I can tell, this is one of many straight-to-Amazon and online marketplaces tool brand. All of the designs seem generic to me. I always assume they’re on-par with WorkPro and similar brands

According to Justia – Duratech is one of the trademarks owned by Hangzhou Great Star Industrial Co. Ltd. But when I look at the Amazon listing for some of the tools that come up on your link it says that the manufacturer is “LONGYOU YIYANG IMPORT AND EXPORT CO.,LTD” So, I’m somewhat confused about their sourcing in China . Like you, I’ve never tried any of these items.

I wouldn’t trust the majority of manufacturer listings on Amazon. They (Amazon) don’t review listings for accuracy.

It might also be that they list the importer as or instead of the manufacturer.
GTIN (aka UPC, EAN, JAN etc.) listed on Amazon (or CamelCamelCamel) may also not be reliable. Some on eBay seem even worse and may be made up by them or the vendor. Sometimes they may just be missing the leading or trailing digit (ie. checksum) but other times they seem to be totally spurious – lifted from defunct companies.

Considering a triple hammer was about $170 tool only for quite a few years going back to Hitachi days, those two deals for it are absolute steals! Still one top notch impact, holds it own just fine.

The kit launched at around $400, and dropped to as low as $360 for the first few years.
The standalone kit comes with 1.5Ah batteries – which is still great given the price point.
I would buy the 2pc combo over and over at $129.
It’s a more premium kit compared to other brands’ basic drill and impact combos at $149 to $179 or so this time of year.

Seems the Home Depot Daily deal is the same deal they have been running last couple of weeks. Everyone is running their “Pre-Black Friday” ads all through November. Is the real Black Friday relevant anymore or a thing of the past?

These are not all the same deals, nor at the same prices.
For instance, the 2-battery bundle has been $189. Today it’s $159.
A lot of people wait for Black Friday, and waiting increases the chance someone will make a purchase at a competing retailer. Deals like this crank up the savings to prompt you to spend your money NOW.
The new M12 sander is available as a $179 kit. The new M12 HO batteries are available in a 2-pack for $149 . (Here’s where my Milwaukee Black Friday guide comes in handy!)
With today’s deal of the day, you get both for $299, saving an extra $29.

I’ve been holding out for a good deal on the Dewalt DW735x planer. Seems HD is already sold out of the one you posted. Do these tend to come back in stock ever?

This was a Black Friday doorbuster deal last year.
I haven’t seen any indicator it will also be a deal this year, but there’s a chance. The DW734 is also on sale at Acme at Home Depot, which I don’t think has ever happened, leading me to think maybe that will be the focus.
We might also see just the DW725X package on sale.
Honestly, there are too many variables. This is one of those “this is the year I’m buying it!” types of products, and so I’m on the lookout for deals on it.

Yeah makes sense. For me the DW734 is off the table, I really want the chip ejector / blower you get with the 735. Was planning to just build the stand anyways, so if i see a deal on the 735x for lower than amazons $629, then i’ll probably just hop on that.
