There are new knife deals at Knives Ship Free. Steel Will knives are on sale – I’ve had good experience with the brand. The G10/M390 models tend to be made in the USA, the FRN/D2 models are imported.

Can anyone weigh in on how good the deal on Wera bit holding screwdriver and bit set is at $48.99? Thanks in advance!

Thank you!

$49 is a good price, that’s its typical deal of the day pricing.

$72.69 at KC Tool.

Thank you! Just hit Buy Now.
Also wanted to thank you for all of the time and effort you put into this site, especially during the holiday season! Greatly appreciated!
Stuart
Thank you, and you’re very welcome!
I love doing it, but I’m also looking forward to Tuesday so I can start tapering down with the deal posts and late nights. =)

Just note that the Kraftform handle is the smaller version (in diameter) and I find it hurts my hand when using it to really tighten something. The bigger handles on the other Kraftform tools are fine. So this handle is fine for pulling apart appliances/computers etc but not for heavy duty screw-driving. My set sits on my desk at work, for what it’s worth.

While I don’t have this particular set, I do have a number of the 3 1/2 bits. They are very convenient for use with a power screwdriver/drill/etc. when you need to reach into an area that a normal bitholder can’t reach because it’s too wide.

Power bits are terrific, really. I’ve got lots of such bits, several power bit handles & powered hex drivers. Even picked up a nice Yankee driver recently and added the Lee Valley hex adapter to it too.
If I had to do it all over again, all the normal screwdrivers, nut drivers and Torx drivers I carried around would never have been purchased. For a field guy, those handles are a lot of extra weight & tool bag space.
I’m not going to chuck them…but I think life would’ve been easier…

Silky makes some of the best saws for camping and pruning use. We have several – including a 3 extension Hayate extension pole saw that will reach to 20 feet. They typically are not discounted much.

Amazon seems to be discounting the one that Stuart lists and this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Silky-Poketboy-Folding-Universal-140mm/dp/B073XJ66D5/
Of the 2 – I think most folks might be happier with the 170mm curved blade (a bit longer and more aggressive) saw that Stuart posted about

I didn’t see this posted anywhere. Lowes has a 12″ non-sliding Hitachi miter saw with laser for $180. I can’t say if it is any good.

Here’s an oddball Picard German hammer on Amazon for less than 1/2 its price on KC Tool:
https://www.amazon.com/Picard-0030490-800-Chisel-Mining-sledge/dp/B005D66PNC/
and this one at $17.41 versus $103.54 at KC Tool !
https://www.amazon.com/Picard-0036190-500-Geologists-hammer-1-102/dp/B005EE7NTI/
There may be other good deals on Picard hammers – if you search on them ad set the search order to sort on price – you might spy others
