Home Depot Tool Deals of the Day

Save on a selection of tool deals, kits, and bundles. Milwaukee, Ryobi, and Ridgid comprise most of the deals, and with offerings we’ve mostly already seen recently (not a bad thing), with some new promos mixed in.
There are additional tools included in this promo, such as by Paslode.
If you need new ratchets or hook and picks, Milwaukee Tool’s are on sale as part of today’s deals. They also have the same 30pc wrench set for $189.
Husky has a 5pc 100-position ratchet set on sale too, for $60.
Lowe’s has 2 tool-related deals today – a Kobalt “Quiet Tech” 26 gallon air compressor for $339, and a Kobalt 31pc multipurpose air tool kit, with some automotive tools and accessories, for just $99.

OPT has a bunch of tool promos right now, as they always do. They tend to have unique pro-focused deals.
They have a seemingly unique-to-them deal where you get 20% off a select $25+ hand tool or accessory with the purchase of a select M18 tool kit. The selection is broad, and features things like pipe wrenches, impact socket sets, and general construction tools and accessories.
Things will line up if you’re buying something like a 7/16″ utility impact wrench and also want a tether for it, or a new aluminum pipe wrench.

Stuart, any word on any deals from FLEX coming up? Fasteners Inc had some pretty good specials advertised in a flyer o their website but they apply in-store only. I can’t help but think others may have some deals too.
Stuart
Nothing that I’ve heard, but I am anticipating promos for the holiday season.
There were some small promos throughout the summer.

I was just poking around on Acme’s Dewalt fall sale and they have listed Dewalt’s new bandfile sander for pre-order:
https://www.acmetools.com/dewalt-20v-max-xr-bandfile-kit-dcm200e1/885911934039.html
….and while it’s not expected to ship until the end of October it does qualify for the fall sale.
It looks like they went for the middle-of-the-road sort of design, like Makita, whereas Milwaukee’s M12 models more closely resemble the compact pneumatic type used in auto body shops while Metabo and Hilti’s are the much more powerful kind typically seen in welding/fab shops. Also like most models (except Milwaukee) they advertise you can swap out to different arms. Alas they did not mention what size belts it takes, which matters. My Makita is a good tool but it uses a strange size belt which is difficult to source except from Makita, and theirs are meh quality. Most other brands use standard industrial sizes which means you can get really good 3M belts. I’m curious what size this will take.
Lyle
One of the pictures shows 1/2” x 18” belt size.
MM
Thanks, I didn’t catch that. 1/2 x 18 is a standard industrial size, this is definitely preferable to Makita’s 1/2 x 21.

I received an email from Wurth Canada this morning about a new line of cordless tools called “Wurth Canada x Durofix Power Tools”. “Monsterous Power and best-in-class runtimes” is the marketing pitch.
It says they’re launching 12v, 20v and 60v tools – which is somewhat eyebrow raising.

HD has the M12 crown stapler on sale for $140 with a 4Ah and 2Ah battery. I’ve been eyeing this for a while, as I’m getting older and using my manual T50 staple gun gets tiresome after a while. Anyone have experience using this staple gun? And any take on this deal?
Stuart
I see it for
$149correction: $139. (HD bundle link) .I’ve used it before – a lot some years – with no complaints.
Home Depot has a fairly easy return policy, and so you should be able to easily return it if you test it out and aren’t happy.

HD shows unavailable for me

The $149 one you linked is the standard bundle. They have a Special Buy of the Day bundle (same stuff, different internet SKU) for $139 as Geoff said – https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-3-8-in-Crown-Stapler-with-One-4-0-Ah-and-One-2-0-Ah-Battery-Packs-and-Charger-2447-20-48-59-2424/317072917
HD is goofy like that.
Stuart
Thanks!
Both are showing 2390 units available for free delivery.
The $139 didn’t show up in a manual search either. Weird.
Steve
Stapler is good and if you need batteries, its a good deal. I only keep the 2.5aH (small format M12 battery) and 6.0 (big format M12 battery), so this deal doesn’t appeal to me, but the tool is worth having if you are in need of one…
Geoff
Thanks to all the replies. I just ordered one, to deliver to my home — still available to me.

Two big thumbs up. I’ve had one for about 2 years and primarily used it to attach hardware cloth (wire) to pressure-treated lumber for a large chicken enclosure. I’ve shot literally thousands of staples and it has never jammed once. Manually doing all of that was a no-go and the idea of fighting an air hose seemed annoying. My one and only gripe is the magazine is sized for a single strip of staples, but it locks out with 3-4 left so you’re always tossing 3-4 to make room for a new strip (make it a *tiny* bit bigger, Milwaukee!). But even with that I highly recommend it and this seems like a fantastic deal.

^^^ as a reply to Geoff’s question about the M12 stapler

There’s a pretty killer deal buried in the Dewalt specials at Acme. Dewalt DCF845 impact driver plus 2x 5.0ah standard batteries AND 2x 5.0ah Powerstacks for $349 and free shipping. Furthermore, it qualifies for their current spend-more-save-more promotion, so even if you just buy that and nothing else you get $40 off. So for $309 you get the impact driver and FOUR batteries, two of which are the latest and greatest Flexvolt 5.0s. There appear to be a small number of similar deals with the drywall screw gun or 1/4 sheet sander in place of the impact driver.
Big Richard
That is pretty killer indeed. Link for anyone interested – https://www.acmetools.com/dewalt-20v-max-xr-3-speed-impact-driver-kit-with-20v-powerstack-5ah-battery-2pk-bundle-dcbp520-2-dcf845p2/404000002864.html
Use code YELLOW at checkout.

Thanks for posting this! I ordered the version of this kit with the drywall screw gun. I had to have it shipped to my aunt because shipping was gonna be $73.
