I hope you’re having a great Monday morning!
This week: I’m clearing up some workspaces to prep for a chaotic holiday season, testing some new tools that we’ll be covering in November, and shopping for a new pipe vise – likely a small Ridgid bolt-on chain vise.
I researched opinions on yoke-style vs. chain-style pipe vises, and it seems to be a very polarizing preference, with chain vises winning out for versatility. But, yoke-style seem to offer greater holding power if you’re only working with pipes. If you use a pipe vise, do you have any style preferences?

Shall I continue with these Monday morning “social media tool talk” roundups, at least as long as there’s new content?
Can anyone think of a better headline? “Last Week on ToolGuyd Social Media, Tool Talk” seems somewhat awkward, doesn’t it? I’ll try a different one today: “ToolGuyd Misc Tool Talk and Social Media Weekly Summary.”

Yes keep the roundups coming, sometimes I miss something.
Gordon Brown
Yes please.

I love the gag electrical box! I have to buy one and take it to work. Thanks!

Continue please. My only social media that I use most days is Instagram and I can say that the algorithm didn’t show me half of those posts.
Nothing wrong with ToolGuyd Weekly Roundup. To the point. Casual readers may only want a weekly thing as well. Something ‘deal’ oriented probably gets more clicks.

Yes, please continue!

The no kits for Hercules is a turnoff for me. Having a set to start is great. I have been looking for some decent home owner 12V tools to go along with my good but bulky ryobi 18V. Right now I’m leaning Rigid, or Skil. That said at the right price i would give Hercules a roll of the dice. A few weeks ago the local HF had some display 12V drivers on clearance for 35 bucks and I almost pulled the trigger but the pricing on the charger and a 2nd batt turned me off.
