Holy overload. Menards sells Halder hammers in store, now. So, no internet needed for those…sort of. I may want to have a sit down with the Menard’s buyers sometime and ask them what they’re thinking. Basically, they have two oddballs and none of the popular products, 🤪

You may know that Halder (Erwin Halder KG) also owns Picard (Joh. Hermann Picard GMBH) and Ruthe (Ruthe Hammerfabrik GMBH). The acquisition was completed in 2017

Yeah, the Husky Rolling Connect is a great value — modded mine to hold a couple of small cases to act as drawers:

Not finding the Volcanic screwdriver by searching — link?

I think I found it , but the 1/4″ driver link:

      http://calaveracutlerycom.ipage.com/14-bit-drivers.html

      now points to:

      http://www.volcanictoolco.com/

      which isn’t set up yet.

Thanks for sharing! The Husky system is one of the hidden gems in their storage line, although that seems to true for most of their tool bags and boxes.

Volcanic seems to have been closed completely. A reader pointed out that another brand is selling similar designs now, but I haven’t looked too closely into it yet.

Update: it’s not that their site isn’t setup, it that they took the page down and all that’s left is a default placeholder. They (he) stopped responding to customers and my own emails years ago.

        Darn.

Yeah, I broke down and bought:

        https://countycomm.com/collections/view-all-tool-products/products/titanium-aviation-multi-bit-screwdriver

but I’m still not convinced it will replace “The Claw” from my frequently used tool roll:

        https://www.rockford-industrial.com/Packing-and-Shipping-Supplys-/Rockford-/West-/The-claw-10-in-1-screwdriver-nut-driver-socket-set-usa.HTML

(I just wish someone would make a metric equivalent)

Most likely it will go into the tool bag in my truck (replacing an alu. handled 4-in-1 from Harbor Freight) if it doesn’t make it into my EDC sling bag.

      This is the Link
      https://civilware.com/collections/made-in-the-usa/products/screwdriver

I clicked on the civiware instragram then a link to any product. After that went to products and made in usa and it shows up 35 dollars.

I had a couple of questions about Toptul. I saw this really cool flex head bit ratchet of theirs. It’s chev0811 and there is a nice extension that goes with it. It’s expensive overseas. Does anyone sell Toptul in the USA? I see where Mac Tools and Facom have one that looks identical. Does that mean Toptul made it for them? Or did they make it? Any cheaper local options would be welcome, I’ve never been guilty of wearing out a tool!😉

There have been some independent Toptul dealers over the years, but never any big outlets that I’ve seen.

I have the same right angle screwdriver from when I lived in Tokyo. I bought all three, straight, angled up and angled down. I’ve had other similar ones but I like these. I find if you put your finger directly behind the driver, it works the best. The bits are shorter than standard driver bits.
