Here are some good tools I thought we could talk about today.
Some of these are new, some are holiday or bundle deals, others are simply interesting – or at least I think so.

Milwaukee 4pc Electricians Hand Tool Set – $24.88 at Home Depot

This is a money-saving bundle pack. It looks like a good buy if you can use at least 3 out of the 4 tools included.

Kobalt 3pc Magnetic Collapsible Parts Tray – $11.98, new at Lowe’s
It seems Lowe’s just added this to their holiday tool deals and gifts lineup. Looks like a good buy – I’ll be posting about it separately, hopefully after I can pick up a set to test out. There’s more like it at Amazon.

Bucket Boss Super Roll Tool Bag – at Amazon
Workpro Roll-Up Tool Bag – at Amazon
What’s your take on roll-up tool bags like these?

Knipex TwinGrip Pliers (6-inch Size) – via Amazon

This is the 6-inch tool, which is smaller than the original Knipex TwinGrip you might be familiar with. There are other sizes and handle styles. Update: apparently there’s a flash sale on the dipped-grip version.

Prestacycle Pro T-Handle Ratchet Bit Driver Set – at Amazon
A reader brought this up, and it does look like a neat combination tool. It looks familiar, but I can’t put a pin on where else I’ve seen it.

Vessel Interchangeable Bit Ball Screwdriver Set – at Amazon
I bought a set a while back. I’m a big fan of Vessel tools, especially their ball handle screwdrivers.

Kobalt 3pc Knipex Knock-Offs Tool Set – $25, new at Lowe’s
I bought a Kobalt 2pc pliers set last year, and they looked like Knipex Cobra knock-offs. Well, we have a 3pc set seemingly inspired by the Knipex Pliers Wrench, TwinGrip, and Cobra pliers.
Knipex quality is so much better, but this might give you a taste of the functionality, for less than the price of a single Knipex pliers. If I were on a stricter tool budget, I’d buy this and later upgrade to Knipex depending on what I used most.

Bosch 12V Max Brushless Right Angle Die Grinder Kit – at Amazon
If I were in the market for a compact cordless RA die grinder, this would likely be on my shortlist.

Milwaukee Inkzall Permanent Marker 4-Pack – $4 at Home Depot
This a PSA to check your tool bag. If you need new markers, try these. Home Depot is still offering free shipping on them with no minimum order amount.

That Prestacycle ratchet reminds me a bit of the one in the Hazet advent calendar tool set from 2021. I thought that was a brilliant design, and wished they offered a larger set.
When I first saw that Bosch angle die grinder I thought it might have been a tiny RO sander. 1-1/4″/30mm RO sanders are apparently a thing for correcting minor blemishes in auto paint jobs. I stumbled across cordless ones made by Mirka a few weeks ago while searching for premium sandpaper…they look very nice, but are also very expensive. Their 12V cordless models are roughly $350 bare tool or $650 for a kit with a charger and two 2.5ah batteries. Now if Milwaukee were to make something like that on the M12 platform I’d be all over it.

Oops. Thank you! *fixed*

The 4 PC Milwaukee electrical pliers are showing up at $56 for me. $24.88 was a SBOTD price earlier this week (maybe intended to continue, but not appearing as such on the link above in post).
Stuart
That’s weird. I checked on two devices and both WiFi and cellular, and it’s still showing as discounted for me. Could be regional?
JoeH
It’s showing up at 24.88 for me, which could be a regional thing as they roll out the promotional items across the country in the coming week or so.
MM
I have noticed inconsistent (regional?) pricing at HD recently myself. This product shows 24.88 for me, but I recall a different price discrepancy about a week ago. A few Toolguyd readers mentioned that HD had the M12 planer plus 2.5ah HO battery for $144, but when I checked it showed as $169 for me.

I have that bucket boss tool roll. It is great I use mine to organize tie downs for my truck. One pouch for bungees, two for ratchet straps, etc
Mike
I bought the Bondus branded version of the collapsible tool bins at a local supply house. 2 for $16. They’re quite handy to keep in a tool bag but the magnet isn’t super strong.
Jared
I had that Bosch right angle die grinder before my garage fire. I loved it. I haven’t yet decided if I will just re-buy it or try the M12, but it was a very handy tool.
Without any hoses or cords, I had very good control and could be very precise. It was still just as powerful feeling as my pneumatics (though maybe that’s different if you have a commercial grade compressor to keep up).

Acme has the Bosch grinder kit for $229 after coupon. And if you pad the order back up to $250 with Bosch consumables they’ll throw in a Yeti sippy cup too. Or if you don’t need batteries they’ve got 10% off the bare tool.
Stuart
Nice find, thanks! Here’s the Acme Tools link. And for the tool-only grinder.
