ToughBuilt has some new hand tools that are available at Lowe’s for Black Friday 2022 and the holiday shopping season.
All of the new tools are priced at just $19.98.
Please let me know if you have any questions – I’m itching to give some of the new ToughBuilt tools a try!

ToughBuilt 18oz Smooth Face Hammer

The new ToughBuilt hammer features a magnetic nail starter, high velocity design with greater mass concentration at the head, and a rubber over-molded handle.
ToughBuilt 25ft Tape Measure

This feature-packed ToughBuilt ProBlade tape measure has a blade-control button on the bottom, “ultra-strong magnetic hook, reinforced frame, and double-sided blade markings.
I find the finger-controlled blade brake to be interesting, and have found similar features useful in the past.
There is also a 16ft version of their ProBlade tape measure for $19.98 at Lowe’s.
ToughBuilt Utility Knife 2pc Set

Here, you get two utility knives – a retractable utility knife, and one with a folding handle for more compact pocket-carry.

Key features for the retractable knife include a one-touch release for blade changes, integrated blade storage, and cutting notch.
ToughBuilt 2pc Household Tool Set

This 2pc tool set, with 16ft tape and utility knife, is also just under $20.
The 16ft tape measure features a 1″ blade width and 9′ max standout, making it slightly more compact than the ProBlade version, and the utility knife features a tool-free blade change, internal blade storage for up to 5 blades, and a tether loop.
ToughBuilt Digital Angle Gauge

Digital angle gauges can make measuring inclines and bevels a breeze. The ToughBuilt seems very attractively-priced.
It’s said to be accurate to ±0.1°.
The base is magnetic, and it has a V-groove for aligned attachment to conduit and pipes. Its negative mode LCD display seems like a nice touch.
It comes with 2x AAA batteries and a protective case.
ToughBuilt 9-inch Torpedo Level

The ToughBuilt torpedo level has a machined aluminum frame and 4 vials set to 0°, 30°, 45°, and 90°.
It has a groove for aligning to pipe or conduit, and embedded rare earth magnets for a strong and secure hold.

The digital angle finder looks like too good a deal to pass up.
I would have liked to see an image of both sides of the tape measurements. As I get older, some color and contrast blades are easier for me to see the 1/16″ marks.

I just really want the Toughbuilt C700 Sawhorses to go on sale or the Warner Adjustable Work Platform. I don’t know if either of those have been on sale before for Black Friday or not and if so roughly for how much? Or who historically has a sale on them if they do?
Stuart
I haven’t found any deals on those yet, but will be checking for more deals throughout the next week. Historically, some models might go on sale.
A 2-pack of the C300 equivalent was on sale at Lowe’s, but seems to have sold out or otherwise isn’t available at the moment. I haven’t seen any work platforms on sale yet, but there’s still plenty of time. Right now, Werner and Gorilla Ladders models are on sale at $50. They have been much lower in the past, but I don’t know if it’s in the plans for this season.
Matthew
I absolutely love the Werner pro work platform for $105. The adjustability and being able to connect as many platforms as possible is huge. Plus I can easily reach 9’ ceilings.

I need another hammer like a hole in the head, but I happened to be in Lowes last night and that hammer just feels awesome in the hand. No idea what it’s like in actual use but it seems pretty trick.
Josh
I picked one up the other night and have to agree, it felt nice and balanced. Would’ve picked one up except cue the toddler having a meltdown. Will pick one up this weekend.
Stuart
In case it helps, here’s a tip for shopping at a home center with a toddler: head to the paint department and have them pick out a paint color swatch (“ticket”). Upon completion of a quick browse section, head back for another in a different color.
At subsequent visits, you might be able to squeeze out a little more browsing/shopping time with the promise of a visit to the color swatch wall.
It might not work for everyone. But, there were a few years when I had to browse all the holiday deals on multiple occasions throughout November, and those color swatches got me through quite a few browsing and purchasing sessions.

Alternatively, let them pick a color chip to bring with them and have them look for other items that match that color as you browse.

Stuart,
What is the model number for the one touch release utility knife? Couldn’t find this anywhere on Tough Built’s website or Lowes at all.
Stuart
I believe that it can only be purchased as part of the set right now.
Nathan
Well Stuart and to anyone that bought this set model number TB-H4S2-123-B, despite registering this product on their website if you need warranty request specially for a pocket clip or any warranty request you are completely out of luck. Even with literal proof of receipt and registration, I kept being told to speak to Lowes by Toughbuilt customer service and Lowes customer service told me to speak to Tough built. Several emails and phone calls; all this work for merely what is likely a $2 at most pocket clip….

I have yet to be disappointed by anything Toughbuilt has put out and I really like the space they are carving out for themselves in the market. My latest purchases were the folding work table and a padded framers belt with the quick connect (whatever they call it) cleats. The price points seem spot-on and the engineering/innovation is blowing the doors off established brands. I hope they keep it up.

I bought a couple of their 18-inch rolling tool bags, one for general plumbing tool use and one for my backflow testing equipment. They really are great. I’ve been eyeing the levels but just don’t have a need for them yet. I suspect my will power will break down soon enough though.

The digital angle finder is a sweet deal. I bought two to compare accuracy with each other. So far, good enough for $20. There seems to be a 0.05-0.10 discrepancy sometimes when I power them off then on again and place them on a known level surface. I’ll give the second to a friend. I like that it’s compact, easy to use and the white on black display is not as horrendous as I thought it would be. Not sure I’ll trust it for anything that is mission critical though.
MM
Does the angle finder have a magnet that can hold it on a pipe or a flat surface? I’ll pick one up if it does.
Stuart
Yes.
MM
I picked up the 9″ torpedo level, it looks well thought out, there are even some cuts in the body for maximum visibility of the vials even in odd positions.

Really like the Toughbuilt TB-S600 miter saw stand. Forget about sales… it seems to be out of stock everywhere.
Lincoln
Looks like ACME Tools has it in stock. Now that you mention it, I want one!

Ooops looks like that is a slightly inferior model.

This is the one… I even seem to have trouble googling it… wonder if it’s discontinued.
Nathan
The angle meter almost came home with me tuesday. didn’t see the hammer.
ALso I my lowes has the SH60 model toughbuilt sawhorse/shop table. and no more Bora branded anything. It’s a quality piece – but I noticed a slight design change from the eariler model of toughbuilt device – the 2×4 holder ends no longer fold with the leg. I think I actually like that better.
Stuart can you tell us anymore about who toughbuilt is? corporately. I’m curious the more I see their things. most of them I like
