USS New York, designated LPD-21, is a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock. The sixth US naval ship to bear her name, the USS New York is partially constructed from 7 1/2 tons of steel recovered from the World Trade Center.
If you have the time and the means, try to pay her a visit. The USS New York is a rather impressive vessel to behold, and it was quite memorable watching her gracefully glide up the Hudson River.
